Wala rin lumbar support, chrome trims at power retractable side mirror which the Sportage have.

Baka sabihin niyo anti lower variant ako since I have the TOTL Tucson Premium package, hindi naman. ;)

^^^ 90 kgs is almost 2 sacks of rice, that's not a light load.

Subtracting the 90 kg weight difference because of 4WD, nasa 120 kg ang added weight ng diesel R-eVGT engine over the Theta-II.

Now, the Sportage 2.0 EX Gas 2WD weighs 1492 kg. Adding the 120 kg to simulate the weight of the 2.0 Diesel 2WD, lalabas na nasa 1612 'to. So it's not any lighter than the Tucson R-eVGT 4WD.

I was under the notion kasi na dahil 2WD lang yung Sportage R-eVGT, it will be lighter and more nimble than the Tucson GL R-eVGT 4WD.

thanks SG! tawagan ko gold cars later that would be great to know as well. did they give you the 5.8K to 7.5K quotation for your sportage? sabi ng kuya uber expensive raw vkool. so he recommends having the windshield tinted with their premium tint tapos get a matching but more reasonable tint na lang for the others. he also advises against replacing the tint sa likod. baka masira raw un defogger

there's also the weight distribution. where's the additional weight resting? in front or evenly distributed?

No glare. Put in HID bulbs with either 35 or 55w ballasts, and you're set!

Add what you save to your wheel or sounds upgrade fund Hehehe!

I'm partial toward all black tint (super dark around and medium black in front), especially for white or silver colored cars.

V-Kool has several series and prices, the top of the line is certainly expensive but they also have ones that are priced closer to Solargard and 3M.

opting for huper optik instead. 22K raw for wrap-around. 5.5K for the windshield only.

yun nga lang by schedule, you can't drop by anytime.

^ mahal ata.

Lalo na yung top of the line. Whew! Kung hindi lang namin need ang 7seater I will def get this. I have a friend who works in Saudi and yung variant is I think EX 4WD nasa 814k lang daw kuha niya. Ang mura nakakainis. LOL

coming from a visor tint, yes. noticeable difference. although wala naman tayong magagawa sa init kahit anong tint pa yan iinit at iinit din. yung dashboard * noon mainit pero not as baking hot as before na mararamdaman mo talaga yung singaw ng init galing dashboard even at A/C is on. mas madali ngayon palamigin ng A/C ang cabin.

I chose the ceramic 30 by the way. mas dark yung ceramic 30 sa 3m tint from kia. maybe around 35 yung sa kia. from inside, clear yung outside kahit gabi. from the outside, kita padin yung loob. on installation, may mga bubbles and hazing on the newly installed tint even if installed sa designated "sterelized" A/C room. pero eventually mawawala din as they said and the huper optik brochure indicated. nano ceramic film daw kasi at hindi kagaya ng ordinary tint like 3m na apply lang ng pressure dikit na. nawala naman yung amin in 1 week. konti pang bubbles. no need to worry naman since papalitan naman nila if nagremain yung mga imperfections and also will be covered with a 7-year replacement warranty.

    satisfied so far .

The stated weight of 1492 kg for the Sportage 2.0 EX gas 2WD is erroneous. If you check Kia Phil's website (and old dealer brochures), all 3 gas variants have the same curb and gross weight ofd 1492 kg. Prior to my purchase, I was able to get a printed specs sheet from Kia Alabang which gave the curb weight of 1403 Kg for the 2.0 2WD gas model. The e-catalog http://www.kia.com.ph/sites/default/...ge%20Flyer.pdf confirms this:

    2.0 2WD = 1403 kg
    2.0 AWD = 1479 kg
    2.4 AWD = 1492 kg

Based on these figures, the 2WD-AWD weight difference is 76 kg, but is actually less if you factor in the fact that the 2.o 2WD has 17 inch rims, while the AWD has 18 inchers

thanks for the feedback sir ratchet. i might go for all c05 or c20 sa harap if its too dark. looks like c30 is out of the equation if kita from outside. i feel safer if random people outside can't see how many people are inside the vehicle.

also, less 3k raw if i exclude the back which i will be excluding since the 3M BC tint installed at the rear looks darker than the rest. iwas risk of getting my defogger damaged na din

better na rin yun. sa HO tints the darker the shade the better heat rejection.. siguro nga wag na yung back. para di na magalaw yung defogger. tsaka konti lang siguro icocontribute na init from the rear glass. sa liit ba naman ng rear glass ng sportage.hehe
