"The biggest reason for this is the float used to measure your gas level, which is a bulb on an arm like the one in your toilet tank. Bulbs are always going to be fatter than the arm, so you can go from full (float is completely submerged) to a little less full (float is floating on surface of gas but is touching the top of the tank) without the arm moving

OEM china made yon na gamit nila ang garmin like software. Don't know a kung legal garmin software yan or product of reverse engineering. Kung importante ang sound quality, better go with the branded one like the Pioneer install on Whiteysporty but no GPS. Try browse the sorento thread, some of them want the original HU rather than the china OEM HU with GPS install on their units, mostly due to quality issue.
Garmin mobile nga lang yun eh
Meron ako alam HU with GPS. Kenwood. Pero mahal. Nasa 50K to 65K.
Pero HD resolution na rin tsaka parang iPhone ang interface.
Ito ata yun
May ganyan yun kasama ko sa Tucson.PH.
Ganun ba ? Offer kasi saakin all-in (insurance, chattel, 3yrs LTO, TPL, upgraded HU touchscreen w/back camera, Visor, matting) no tint sabi ko kasi sa labas nako papa tint ng maganda-ganda. 29k for 3 yrs, DP ko is P347,400. Haggle pako ng horn upgrade to bosch europa. ok na kaya to ? compute ko freebies na binigay nila saakin is nasa 70k+ na. less worries pako sa warranty issue pag sa labas ako nagpakabit ng HU, tsaka sobra busy din kasi sa work kaya wala nako time minsan mag pakabit pa ng mga gusto ko.
Mas mura sa bank ang 3yrs nila, nasa P25,500/month pero walang insurance, HU touchscreen, chattel etc..., compared sa P29k /month ng in-house pero all-in na. isip ko lang parang nag 3 yrs to pay nalang ako ng HU ko and the other freebies ko, in the end alam ko laki din tubo ng casa around 40k more compared sa bank. hehehe east west bank ang nagapprove saakin ng loan, bpi daw dami pa gusto pagawa and hingi requirements which i understand, pero wala talaga ako oras. .... ano kaya mga sirs, patulan ko na ba yung in-house ?![]()
Hi Sir, if we would do an apples-to-apples comparison of the in-house (with freebies and upgrades) vs. bank loan (acquiring the same items from a third party), mas mura pa din ang bank loan.
Take sa case mo sir:
Sportage price ...... 1,158,000
Less: DP .............. (347,400)
Loanable amount ... 810,600
Monthly amortization for 3 years .... 29,000 ------ total payments for 3yrs (29K x 36 months) = 1,044,000
Interest rate (1,044,000 / 810,600) = 28.79% (rounded)
Sa bank naman (same figures) except for:
Monthly amortization for 3 years .... 25,500 ------ total payments for 3yrs (25.5K x 36 months) = 918,000
Interest rate (918,000 / 810,600) = 13.25% (rounded)
Dito sa computation na ito sir kita mo na agad: 1,044,000 vs. 918,000... A difference of 126K. Then analyze natin ung mga freebies mo:
Insurance ....
Chattel .....
3 yrs LTO...
TPL...
Upgraded HU w/back camera ...
Visor .....
Matting ....
Ako ang ginawa ko nagloan ako thru Metrobank, got my own insurance from a third party. Freebies I got were:
- discount of 10K off the purchase price
- 3 years LTO
- Seatcover (corduroy)
- Rain gutters (complete set)
- 3M Tint (complete including full windshield)
- Floor mats
- 1000 pesos worth of gas
I paid 500K as downpayment and financed the rest with monthly amortization of 13,800 for 5 yrs. Alam ko na obvious na mas mataas sa inhouse pero i still made a computation like what I suggested sau sir. Of course kapag sa inhouse ka ang number one mo naman kasi na binabayaran (i hope other tsikoteers would agree, hehehe) is yung convenience. Kasi ako medyo matagal bago ko maasikaso lahat ng kailangan kasi wala akong agent na magaasikaso for me. pag inhouse kasi like ung sa friend ko...usap sila nung umaga, nung hapon nakuha na niya ang innova nya. Yun ang price na binabayaran mo...Kung you are willing to go thru the hustle of dealing and completing all of the requirements and have a lot of patience then i suggest mag bank loan ka sir. and besides ung 50K++ na savings on your end is worth a lot...
Hope this helps sir! Good luck!
Sir. Jeff I totaly agreeappreciate your comment and your time to do the analysis through computation
.... yung nga lang yung hassle sa oras ko ang problem. naisip ko lang kasi if ever makakuha ako ng oras sa pag bank loan, and oras para masikaso yung mga papeles para sa insurance etc...then thats good for step one. then i have to spend time para umalis, bumili & pakabit ng HU, stepboard, & punta pako sa malayo para magpakabit sa mga guaranteed na magaling at tested magkabit which of course might compromise pa the warranty pa, pag nalaman ng casa yun i guess they can smell blood and baka i rason pa saakin yun kung malas malasin hehehehe.
If ever this will be my 1st korean vehicle, i know this is a very good car, lots of good response not just here sa pinas. its just that pag nagka prob. lang sa quality (no offense sa mga owners) gusto ko hawak ko sa leeg and CASA para wala sila lusot hehhehehe.
1.the plastic stripes in the engine compartment - replaced the plastic bolts with the new ones you can see here:
2.put a spacer in between the plastic mask and the windshield

No prob sir! glad to be of help. If concern mo ung sa warranty sir...i suggest pakabit ka sa kanila ng HU...pero just the same wag kang mag inhouse... in the end tipid ka pa din di ba? ung 50K plus estimate pa lang yan sir based dun sa estimate mo din. I think tataas pa yan...kasi di pa natin tinanggal ung mga items na makukuha mo din either mag bank loan ka or mag inhouse...
And besides is 50K++ worth it para trade-off lang ng ikaw magaasikaso at maghihintay ka saglit? I don't think so![]()
mga sir, almost decided na ako sa sportage and in fact gusto ko na umorder ng K emblem(badge) sa ebay bago pa dumating si sporty. kaya lang while driving kanina nakatabi ko yung isang kinglong bus at nakita ko to. bigla tuloy akong napaisip

FC of the sportage is really not that bad. i did 7.35km/L last friday and it was a rainy rush hour (after 6pm) friday. route-UN ave-aurora-ortigas-libis, traffic couldnt been much worse, mileage at 6700km.
nagpalit ako solarguard sa front windshield and also on both front door windows, lighter shade than the 3M casa supplied
