2007 Kia Carens [ARCHIVE]

Guys, I know that you're probably getting tired of hearing about my color dilemma... remember, the last time I posted, I said that I was already set on the Silver Exterior/Grey Interior?

Well, my wife and I was able to go to Kia Sucat (Paranaque) and saw the EX White Exterior/Beige Interior and I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT.

Sorry, bro itlog na pula, even though the Silver is still in the running, looks like the White is a very strong contender! But before I do, I just want to ask: how hard is that to maintain? A white exterior and a beige interior? I'm just curious...

my carens has a cvvt engine. sayang nga sana hinintay ko na lang yung crdi. pero parang ok na din. medyo hassle sa maintenance din naman ang diesel eh.
cno cno ba dto naka cvvt na carens? ano fuel consumption nyo? post nyo naman gumawa kaya tayo ng group para sa mga carens owners

off topic lang po: Have any of you carens owners noticed a thumping sound at the rear-right side of the car when you pass through a rather large hump? medyo may "tonk!" na sound akong naririnig eh, di kaya yung exhaust pipe? it sounds like something is hitting the body from the inside, hindi naman yung toolbox, any suggestions? either way, malapit na ako maga PMS, pero nakakairita lang pag naririning ko yung thump eh!

yup nangyayari sa kin yan. yung tunog ba eh yung bandang likuran malapit sa may 3rd row? dati kc suspect ko yung spare tire kc may cable wire yun pero wala naman akong nakitang pwedeng tumunog doon then one time i have to pull the 2nd row seatbelt para pang secure ng stroller ng bunso ko. yun nga i found out na yung tumutunog eh yun palang seatbelt stopper and i think yung mismong nakatago sa loob ng plastic interior. minsan pa nga parang nag pe-pendulum ang tunog na sunod sunod.

I and my officemate have the same Kia Carens LX CRDi A/T Cherry Black. When he checked mine, he noted the following discrepancies:

1. My keyhole has no light around it. His has.
2. My left footbrake can be engaged/disengaged by foot. His can be engaged by foot and disengaged by hand.
3. I don't have light switch at the back compartment. His has - located at the left side wall
4. We have different type of keyless entry remote control. Mine is like this:

you have the 2008 model, your officemate has the 2007. your instrument panel should be black (2008) ours is gray (2007). the 2008's cabin light uses a toggle switch, the 2007 has 3 buttons. may mga subtle differences sa loob pero siguro ang mapapansin is color keyed na yung windows ng 2008, sa 2007 its black plastic

you have the 2008 model, your officemate has the 2007. your instrument panel should be black (2008) ours is gray (2007) mine is black .
the 2008's cabin light uses a toggle switch, the 2007 has 3 buttons mine is a sliding type 3 position switch

Mine is also black crdi A/T, bought last 3rd wk of Nov 2007:

1. I got lights on the keyhole.
2. My footbrake can be engage by foot and disengage by by hand.
3. I have small light switch at the back compartment.
4. My keyless remote is not same as yours, mine i think is an audiovox alarm (sorry no pics)

yup, yan ang pinagkaiba nun 2007 vs 2008 models. Dagdag ko lang yung exhaust, yung 2007 meron chrome cover. dun naman sa alarms ng LX models, pwede talagang magkaiba bawat dealer. EX lang talaga ang merong factory installed alarm (installed by KIA). Locally installed by the delear lang yun sa LX.

I tried setting mine. Low +6, low freq 60, low width 2, mid +2, mid width 2, high +6, high freq 12khz. Mukhang ok naman. Try nyo jvc owners, and give me feedbacks. If u hav your own (better) settings...share nyo naman.

hi sir magnus, try mo yung LOW sa 0 lang then yung MID and HIGH +6. Pag medyo kulang ka sa BASS and pareho tayo model ng JVC, meron yang Super BASS setting, dun mo na lang adjust
