seriously, i parked beside a BMW X3 sa Shang, IMO, parang BMW yung carens if you're looking from behind (imagine nyo na lang na wala yung KIA logo, hehehehehe)

BTW pinalitan pala yung HU ko 2days after I got my unit, defective. It's not a DIY thing, tatanggalin yung cover sa gear shift pati sa face ng HU.
Yung mga accesories, madami sa goldrich banawe, nakabili ako window visor for 1000pesos. dami ding chrome accesories for headlights, tailights etc.
someone posted here about leather seatcovers, 6500 daw sa goldrich. sa seatmate 7500. pero I noticed yung sa goldrich yung foam e hindi laminated sa leather, naka-stitch lang siya. Ito siguro reason kaya mas mahal sa seatmate, molded na foam sa leather, w/c I think makes for better quality work.planning go get one from seatmate soon, still not decided lang on what color combination papagawa.
May mudguard na EX, not sure about LX.

You got that right! In fact, my wife is starting to get jealous. Hehehe)
Ah ok... the EX I saw on display had a Clarion HU that had a remote aux-in cable inside the glove box. Kung ganun din, I'd rather have the JVC HU with the aux-in input right in front.
Where is Seatmate exactly?

January 22nd, 2008 05:53 PM #664hmm.. nagiging trend yata. mukhang carens ang nagiging alternative sa mga family man na civic ang first choice. I was backreading the threads and I could relate, ganyan din kami ni misis e.
After 2 months with the carens I'd say it is a good choice, powerful and fun to drive. I was stuck in a 2 hour traffic once at talagang di enjoy mag sound trip. I suspect a speaker upgrade will do the trick.. ok naman yung jvc HU tingin ko.

Preferred ko kc ang 4WD for those occasional off-road moments. I twice drove to Bukidnon (from Cagayan de Oro) using my current ride and naaawa ako everytime i pass through potholes, gravel stretches, and muddy roads.

January 22nd, 2008 07:00 PM #667thanks for the tip sir vinrem! hmm.... i remember trying my trusty old mp3 player (a tapwave zodiac palm os device) once and it did sound "different", louder and more lively, but I haven't listened to it for a long time to hear if its "better" sounding. I will try this on my way home tonight. If it is, would replacing the HU be the better move? will this void warranty?

Hmmm... so the not-so-good sound comes from the JVC HU? That reminds me, does the EX really come with a JVC HU? I've seen some EX display units that have a Clarion HU... would this be a better HU? From what I know, Clarion is a really good brand for car stereos...
Has any of you installed window rain visors on your Carens? Can you post a pic here so that I can see how it looks? Thanks!

Agree here bro.,- replace your HU with those 45W/50W per channel models.....It should solve your immediate sound issue. The stock speakers should be able to handle the power of your HU. Just go easy on the volume knob.
Also, it should not void the warranty for as long as you do not cut the wires....
