Ung iba daw may hangin pa kaya madaling maubos.

Ganyan ako from Petron to Seaoil noon. Then I tried, so far no problem pa naman until now. Mas mura pa and hindi pa parang paos.

Kaya I never had problems jumping from Seaoil to Unioil. Pero siguro if I am still solely a Petron user, baka mag aalangan ako sa Unioil kasi nga ang image ay parang small player so baka inferior ung fuel nila.

Un lang it's Euro IV so cleaner and much better for the environment. Pero sila more on cheaper price siguro ang habol than helping the environment.hehe

medyo nag back read po ako sa archived...importante po ba yung turbo timer? at kung di man po mag pa install ng turbo timer...ilang minutes safe after mag start ng engine bago iarangkada at ilang minutes lalo pag galing long drive bago i switch off ang engine?...clueless lang po.TIA

Important if you're lazy to wait or you're always in a hurry. Ang turbo timer kasi, it lets the turbo to cool down even if the engine is shut off. Pag daw kasi pinatay mo agad ung engine without cooling down the turbo, the oil will get fried in the turbine and if that always happens, your turbo's life will be lessened or fail. Napaka mahal pa naman ng turbo.

Pero if you're willing to wait, no need. Ako human turbo timer. In my practice, on its 1st start of the day, 1 min is more enough. More than that, I feel like I am just wasting gas. Pag masyado ng matagal ng interval, say more than 6 hrs, from the time I turned off the engine to using it again, wait for about 30 secs to 1 min.

In long drives, I wait for 3 mins before turning off the engine. In the event that I need to gas up, I will just tell the gasoline boy that I have to wait for 3 mins because I can't turn it off yet due to the turbo. May mga gas boys na ok lang sa kanila, some will wait until I kill the engine.

Sa mga city driving naman, I wait for 1 min before killing the engine. Short drives, I don't wait anymore.

Chief wala na "coking" problems ang mga engine oils ngaun, as far as i know, lalo na mga semi- to fully synthetic ones unlike in the old days....

Though it helps to have the engine relax muna after a long-trip.... i let is idle for 3 mins before shutting down, say after travelling 300 to 400 to more more more at a one-go.

*nabig8: Yes, ganyan din ang ginagawa ko. Pag let's say sa NLEX at iihi, kung lahat iihi, I will let them pee 1st then stay in the car and wait for 3 mins, pag ako lang, di ko na papatayin. Then pagdating ng bahay, while unloading, I just let it idle for 3 mins.

*d_mac: May nabasa ako sa TG ata un noon about cooling down the turbo, sabi di na daw kailangan yang cool down not unless you're hauling something or driving fully loaded for a long period of time kasi nasa high rpm lagi.

But then again, let's see if it can even sell as projected....

IPC is looking to get at least a 20% share of the market, or 4,000 UNITS BY THE END OF THE YEAR said IPC executive vice president Takashi Tomita............ kailangan maka benta sila ng atleast 235 unit bawat isuzu dealer bago matapos ang 2013.

*tnfsurge: Anong Dmax sir, ang bibilhin mong 2nd hand? Yung Global Dmax na may 4JJ1 engine or yung before diyan?

Kung yung 4JJ1, in my more than 5 yrs of ownership and close to 100k kms mileage, I would check the following based on my experience:

    1) Check if it's regularly maintained.
    2) Check if there's any squeaking sound coz it's possibly the bushing
    3) Listen if there's any rattling sound similar to rotating a torque wrench, coz possibly it's the timing gear that needs to be replaced
    4) Feel how the car runs. If it feels like it's choking, most probably the EGR or SCV needs to be replaced.
    5) Tires. Check if they're so worn out.

    That would probably it.

Sa experience ko naman, kahit may mga parts na that I wasn't expecting to conked out early, never naman na naging sakit sa ulo ko ung truck ko. Never din siyang tumirik or biglang nalang nag engine shut off while I was driving kahit my MIL was lit up for more than a yr.

Ngayon it's due for its 100k km check up and ang napapansin ko lang ay medyo nag squeak na, so baka bushing lang un and ung sa may engine bay, baka fan belt lang un na naglu loose or maybe it needs replacing. Papa check ko din ung brake pads. Un lang. The rest, no problem.

Pero sa takbo, wala akong problema. Maybe it helps too as to what kind of oil you use and the fuel you put in it. Very smooth ang takbo niya.

There. Basta inalagaan yan ng maayos, religiously followed the PMS, I don't see any reason na may matinding problem yang 2nd hand na Dmax na gusto mong bilhin. Just make sure hindi yan nabaha or hindi balasubas ang previous owner niyan.

Hi sir, ask for the PMS log book and compare the consistency.... If the seller lost it, don't buy the unit sir, simple as that. lf he has it ask him where is his Isuzu service centre and verify with that centre the seller's name. Ask the I.D. of the seller if he's just a middle man, the original unit's owner, a second hand owner (as you'll be the potential 3rd owner now) etc., then ask from where the unit was originally acquired (the Isuzu centre) and compare the name of the owner(ssss) to that of the present xerox copy OR and CR. ---- Still many to verify on the next paragraph sir.... Kindly hang on just a bit with me....

Ask also if the unit is still on loan; has it been fully paid yet and what bank was his loan provider. If he says it's cash acquired and/or the loan has been fully paid already, then ask for the original OR and Certificate of Registration, by now they should all be original copies not just photocopies. If he hasn't any clear records of any of these documents, specifically the CR, then do not buy it unless you're willing to own the unit and used it with photocopied documents. Else, go the former owner's bank for clearance of the loan, then go to the LRA (Land Registry Agency - all loans whether car or land titles are held here), then back to the bank again, sir

Also check all the bolts, especially, the front side where the engine is. If you're quite experienced you'll know the original against replaced ones.... If not sir, might as well tag along an experienced mechanic to go with you. Verify also the engine number with that in the OR and CR and chassis or body number.... Better get someone in the know-how with you sir ;)

Goodluck sir. It needs quite a lot of work to really do due diligence before acquiring a unit that was used already, aside from what sir RNA suggested, especially now due to the recent years of flood events happening the world over....

Otherwise, kung medyo alangan ka, you really need to take an extra effort.
