Since you mentioned your concern of "void of warranty", if you so decide to have your unit done outside CASA from 10k PMS-onwards, definitely, void na ang warranty mo. I believe Isuzu CASA are competitive with regards to their labor charges -- provided that what they charge you is (indeed) the service your unit requires. There are cases (not necessarily an Isuzu dealer) where a customer would nearly faint in shock after seeing his bill only to learn that the service performed to his unit was either unnecessary or unadvised if not both. A clear case of miscommunication and/or incompetency of the CASA's technician.
mga ka-DMAX, medyo may kamahalan talaga ang PMS ng Isuzu...when I have my 20,000 km PMS, I spent almost P17,000 sa casa, my 25,000 km is P6,000+, 30,000 km is almost P8,000,..and so I have decided to do my 35,000 km outside in a reputable talyer...a normal change oil, palit filter and labor sa Isuzu will cost P6,000+...while in a talyer, labor lang P300...sa akin na ang oil at filter...it only cost me P2,100 lahat lahat...7 liters Valvoline 15W-40 diesel oil = P1,650...VIC replacement Filter P250, labor + tip...OK NA!...nakikita ko pa ang ginagawa ng mekaniko...pabuhat sa lifter to check the shocks and bushings.

So far, wala naman ako naramdaman na pagkakaiba sa performance. halos pareho lang noong gumagamit ako ng Isuzu recommended OIL and Filter. Imagine, mahigit sa kalahati ang ma-save ko. My Dmax is 13 mos old and its mileage seems to fly...araw araw ko naman kasi ginagamit 100 km/day kaya halos every 2 mos PMS na naman ako.

The only downside: Void ang warranty ko..:

Tindi naman ng PhP17k for a 20k km mark maintenance; never have i experienced that cost from an Isuzu service centre, whether it be an Inteco or a Yuchengco. The most that i spent is around PhP12k lang.... Your other option is to spread the cost along each intervals and don't perform all of them at a one-go say at 20k km mark, 40k km mark, 60k km, 80k km etc.... In each of these periods, you have a whopping 20,000 km in between to distribute your cost, say that will take a year's time if you are even quite a heavy traveller....

For your own sake, the best is not to let your valid warranty under void by still doing your maintenance sa mga service centres.... Even while your D-max is anywhere between 2010 to present model where the suction valve and the EGR are considered more adaptable to Euro 2 unlike the old ones, still you're not sure whether any of them will goof up just before your warranty....

Try to befriend as much as you can in a service centre; it's better not to keep a "sir" kinda treatment but be more approachable naturally and generous in a sense and maintain a sense of humour, credit them for job done, pat them at the back, kamustahin mo etc.... To tell you the truth, they the service people will be the one to even advise you what to replace during the tenure of your warranty....

Goodluck! Malaki pa matitipid mo sa maintenance sir ;)

    Cheers!

    Part 1 of 2:

My dream D-max, the old-version 4JJ1-TCX (iTEQ VGS Turbo) boxy "bonnet-scoop" model.

Ito nalang sana pinarating ng Isuzu Phils.... Uubusin ito ng mga Pinoys especially with multiple distinctions won in Germany and Austria in 2008, 2009 and 2010 as the Best 4x4 Pickup by Auto Bild and AllRad magazines.

Here are the awards for the 2013 all-new D-max, so far....

The Isuzu D-max 3.0-litre iTEQ VGS Turbo and its twin-turbo 2.5-litre Euro version are REAPING awards not only in Australia but also in the UK, Germany, and Austria, where the magazine shootouts are more influential, like Auto Bild of Germany and 4WD Action of Australia. Allrad Champions of Austria is an arm of the Auto Bild magazine.

The 4WD Action test, on the other hand, was even done in fine desert sands with top-hauling at the vehicle's GVM.... The D-max was the top pick overall and it was even the most fuel efficient in the group.

Here are the different pickup 4x4 shootouts, one is in a detailed pdf copy....

The European and Australian theatres awards from different 4x4 magazines
International & Past Awards | Isuzu UTE Australia, Isuzu D-MAX, Isuzu Awards

The 4WD Action and Delivery magazines awards
Latest Awards | Isuzu UTE Australia, Isuzu D-MAX, Ute of the Year

    2013 4WD Action's ute comparison pdf document
    http://isuzuutestreaming.s3.amazonaw...e_year_web.pdf

ENJOY reading fella Isuzu guys, even if we know this engine will never be offered to us Pinoys HIKBI!

Ni-minsan di nanalo sa pickup shootout si Ranger sa Germany, the country where diesel technology was born hehe

    PEACE din :peace:

pero i disagree hehehe, tingin ko mas maganda ang all new D-Max, binubuyo ko lang si Djerms.

nasabi ko na before na maganda cya both lowered and lifted.
for now, out of the question na muna ang strada and hilux, for sure hardcore fan lang ang bibili nun.
my eyes are on dmax, maganda eh, kaya lang parang kokonti ang kumuha gawa yata ng engine.

sana mag tuloy tuloy itong thread and magpost na yung mga new owners ng D-Max

Hehehe actually ang gusto ko sa ranger is the driving dynamics and the features it has.

Cheers at advance Merry Christmas nalang.... Hehe ;)

If you compare nga the Navara 2.5 "hi-power" at ang Triton or Strada 2.5 non- and with VGT to our D-max 3.0 CRDi non-VGT and even to the old non-CRDi (3.0 TD Intercooler) hauling from bottom-up from the underground levels, both these two are wailers. The Navara and Strada or Triton, are what you may refer to as the king of wails lalo na pag kargahan at akyatan pa hehe

If there is a consolation to Isuzu Phils. still offering the old 4JJ1-TC engine (3.0 Ddi-iTEQ engine) in the market, and mating it to the new D-max, it is these two qualities (under-stressed engine and fuel efficient) that make up its redeeming factors

But, we still want the tweaked out 4JJ1-TCX engine (180 hp, 380 Nm from 1800 to 3000 rpm) nonetheless.... Guilty pa rin ang Isuzu Phils for short-handed offers to the new D-max, yet again ahahay!

    Cheers!

    Kind regards.

*nabig8: I used use Shell then I tried Petron. I got converted. Ang layo ng difference sa performance. Parang paos siya sa Shell pero that was their Fuel Save. Then from Petron, I tried Seaoil. Pareho lang but Seaoil is cheaper. Then I tried Unioil. Halos pareho lang sa Seaoil but since it's Euro IV already, Unioil na ako ever since. I haven't tried Caltex, though.

Ang ayoko lang is bihira lang ang Unioil so either sasadyain ko pa sa Fairview para magpa gas up or magpapa fill up na ako pag pumupunta ako doon.
