Congrats sa mga naka Dmax mga sirs! You've made the right choice if you're aiming for downright durability, dependability and longevity above all else. The Dmax is a workhorse, and for me it is the best-looking pickup at the same time.
Same reason why I bought a Suzuki Grand Vitara V6 4-mode 4WD here in Oz, as it runs also in timing chain and it's mated with a ladder-frame that is integrated/tucked-in/built-in into it's monocoque chassis - this is a fine compact SUV that is overlooked by many, just like the Dmax in the pickup segment, as the general public is easily mesmerised by publicities from the competitors, namely Hilux, Triton and Navara.
I have a Dmax in Philippines, by the way guys.
Congrats to you all. Cheers!

September 18th, 2012 10:49 AM #1123It varies, sir. But in general, they just put X thousand kilometer check up then the parts or materials used like engine oil, oil filter, etc and labor.
For my 30k km checkup:
Labor:
Perform 30k km check up - P1,710.00
Parts/Materials used
Element, oil filter - P756.23
Element kit, fuel - P1,259.87
Washer/gasket, drain plug - P33.38
Engine oil - P1,28X.68
Fuel system conditioner - P23X.93
Engine treatment - P626.79
For 35k km check up:
Labor:
Perform 35k km check up - P1,406
Parts/materials used
Element, oil filter - P756.25
Washer/gasket, drain plug P33.38
Engine oil - P1,285.68
Engine treatment - P754.46
Those were my breakdowns for those PMS. Plus of course, if you have problems that wanna get fixed, add those up. My truck is serviced in Isuzu Commonwealth, by the way. I am not sure if the prices for other dealers are the same.

September 19th, 2012 09:24 AM #1127That's the cheapest that it can get if it's done in the dealer considering mine is a 4x2. I wonder if the price for change oil is different for the 4x4 considering their engines are almost identical. I don't know how much it would cost if it's done not in the dealer but for sure it's cheaper.

September 24th, 2012 06:38 PM #1129Sir,
Does the CEL(Check Engine Light) or MIL(Malfunction Indicator Light/Lamp) appear only once you have reached 110 kph?
There are 3 possible causes that I know of. One is your fuel filter might be contaminated with water which was caused by dirty fuel. 2nd is the SCV or Suction Control Valve must be busted already. 3rd and the most expensive of the 3 is your EGR might need to be replaced.
I have experienced it firsthand too. The first time it appeared, the engine felt weak and died. It took I think another week then it lit again. I brought it to the dealer and found out that the SCV needs to be replaced. I noticed that once it lits, the engine will die. It solved the problem then after some thousand kilometers, it lit again. But this one is different. It never disappeared or unlit anymore. After almost 25k+ kilometers and 9 months of it on my dash, the truck is still running properly. The dealer said it's the EGR but I never had the chance to have it replaced since the first time, Isuzu Commonwealth told me that it would take 3 months for that part to arrive. After 4 months I followed up, they told me that it's still not available. Then the months kept moving that's why up to now it's still not fixed. But the car is running ok anyway so I am not really bothered. I even brought it to Ilocos, Quezon, Tagaytay and to lots and lots of places and it never failed. I just don't know for how long it could hold, though.
Better to just bring it to your dealer so they could diagnose the problem since they use a computer to analyze it.
