The 3.0 VGS is here in the PH for MU-X and D-Max..

Well, for those who were complaining about the lack of the 3.0 VGS in the Philippines, here you guys go. It is finally here! I personally believe that it is a welcome addition to the market, but not totally a must-have that I should upgrade my current one asap. I am happy with my 3.0 4JJ1 without VGS. Nonetheless, I am sure that it is something that others would appreciate a whole lot.
Our voices were finally heard. Why does this forum single out anyone who reveal any weakness of the dmax. All we said are true. We are not here to sell the car. Sharing of experience lang dito. Isuzu salesman, pls transfer to olx to sell your car.
*kevinworld: The Dmax thread doesn't single out people or owners who reveal the weaknesses/problems of the Dmax. We even appreciate it. I myself appreciate it since at times, I use this thread/forum to look for problem fixes or before going to the dealership for repair to prevent me from becoming their cash cow. In my more than 7 yrs of ownership, I have shared all the problems that my truck faced and the fixes that they did in this thread. I did that so that current owners and future buyers would have an idea on what problems they might face when they own a Dmax themselves and the possible solutions.
What you did here was not revealing any weakness of the Dmax or the Isuzu brand itself, you bashed and insulted it the core as if you are not an owner yourself. You called it mausok, phased out junk, nakaka pollute ng hangin, slow, noisiest and most uncomfortable. You even called it Deadmax. Is that what you call revealing the weaknesses?
With the introduction of the 3.0 VGS, finally, IPC listened to the clamour of people who trust the brand. Way back about 3 yrs ago, yan na din ang pinopost namin dito, together with sir dmac aka hinDMaxsiado, sir bugoys and all the others. Mas grabe pa nga un si dmac kasi he himself has driven a Dmax with VGS kaya alam niya ang performance nun compared to the one that we have. Pero he never called the Philippine issue Dmax/Alterra as garbage. He dubbed it as hilaw and from his username hinDMaxsiado pero masaya siya and put a chip on it. And he had been very helpful in this thread. Ang similarities niyo nga lang, he praises Isuzu but bashes the other brands, ikaw naman, you bash Isuzu but... I don't know kasi parang hindi ka din masaya sa Fort mo.
Hmm.. having the same engine 4JJ1.. with differences in turbo (Conventional VS VGS).. I wonder if the economy would still be the same given the same speed. Usually, turbo is known to provide better economy (given the same speed). So would this be more efficient?
Isuzu's ultimate turbo model is the Twin Turbo.. but it is only available for the 4JK1 engine (2.5) which churns out up to 177hp (for automatic transmission). I wonder how the Twin Turbo would perform in 3.0 (although this does not exist yet.. but correct me if I'm wrong)?

Na coconfuse din ako kasi may nabasa rin ako na 4JJ1-TCX (3.0 VGS) na up to 177 if automatic transmission.
"The 4JJ1-TCX is a DOHC 16V 3.0L common rail direct injection engine with VGS-turbo and intercooler. Stock power was 163hp (120kW) and 360N·m for Manual transmission/ 333N·m for Automatic transmission and up to 177hp and 380N·m later."
The first 3.0 VGS had an output of 163PS/360Nm then it received another power upgrade to 177PS/380Nm. Unique ata yung 3.0 VGS na nakarating sa atin.
I also read somewhere that the 2.5 bi-turbo will replace the 3.0 VGS to achieve Euro V emissions like in Australia and Thailand.![]()
Just found out that mas mura ang D-Max new 3.0 4JJ1-TC kaysa sa 2.5 4JJK1
Here is the current price of 2.5

2015 D-MAX 4X2 LS AT 1,206,000.00
2015 D-MAX 4X4 LS MT 1,428,000.00
2015 D-MAX 4X4 LS AT 1,487,000.00
Here is the posted price of 3.0
D-MAX 4×2 LS M/T P1,090,000
D-MAX 4×2 LS A/T P1,160,000
D-MAX 4×4 LS M/T P1,360,000
D-MAX 4×4 LS A/T P1,430,000.
Wondering if ibebenta pa din nila ung 2.5. Kasi iba ang case sa mu-x, mas mahal ang 3.0 kaysa sa 2.5.
Ano meron? Sana malabas na ung brochure.
Pero sa MU-X mas mahal ang 3.0 4JJ1-TC kaysa sa 2.5 4JK1.
Which is which? Dapat ba mas mura ang 4JJ1-TC or 4JK1?
I have personally checked the 3.0 4jj1. Parang mas maingay at taas ng vibrations compared to the 2.5 4jk1. An honest salesman of isuzu confirmed this. This comparison is made during cold start up. Maybe, it will settle down when the engines warmed up to the desired temperature
