hi sir the scv on my ride is still the original as per Isuzu Pasig and still kicking alive.. hopefully will always be that way. I searched the thread,no direct answer and is there any way that this can be cleaned instead of being replaced?

sirs question, the CASA is not really helpful in answering my questions and baka may makatulong dito. oil filter counter part po para sa oil filter natin sa 3.0 engine (alterra/dmax)? like VIC..etc?

"curing time" pa.
    need help po please.

    Hello everyone.

I have a 2010 Dmax and I feel na its about time to upgrade the tires and rims.
Just asking for opinions/suggestions regarding tire size to get an off-road look without too much ride compromise.
    Thanks much.

I'm running 8" rims (+5 offset) with 265/70 AT tires (these are the same size as Boondock edition stock tires) with stock suspension (no lift/upgrades). I've read advise in this forum (as well as tips from sir Arb) that 8" rims with 265 tires is the max you can go with stock suspension and I'ld say that's about right as when the tires are brand new at full steering lock you get some rubbing on the inside mudguard flap.

I'ld hazard to say that if I went with -5 offset rims in 8" there would be no rubbing at all. But with +5 offset this happens at steering full lock only anyway.

It definitely improves the looks as the tires now stick out beyond the body work - you also get lots of mud/dirt/road muck thrown up on the bodywork though (which may improve "looks" as well if you're going for that off-road look, hehe).

AT tires also improve the "looks" but downside is highway driving is noisier due to the larger groove/tread block size, anything over 80 kph and you can definitely tell it's noisier compared to non-AT tires.

The nice thing about going the 8" rim + 265 tire route is that it can be done in stages:

    1) 265 tires on stock 7" rims
    2) 265 tires with 8" rims

... then I can go one step more with:

    3) raised suspension/lift kit + 285 tires on 8" rims (iirc 285 is the max recommended size that will fit on 8" rims though some manuf, i.e. Yokohama, list 8" rims as a minimum allowed rim size for tires up to 315 in size)

hope this helps! fwiw, my .02, imo, happy hunting for your new rim/tire combo :-) ... I'm waiting for my current 265 tires to wear out so I have an excuse to get a lif kit and go for 285's, hehe...

Hi guys... Newbie here... I'm planning to buy new pick up ealy next year... The latest DMAX LS 4x2 AT is my first option due to the same specs in its bigger brother 4x4 especially in the engine and dimension. I know how good and durable this truck because of my sister's 09 LS... Btw our current rides are Nissan Navara Chrome Ed and Frontier 4x4 03 model... Any rumors and/or news regarding 2013 model? We are truck lover... It's obvious...
