its the amlan port to santander or oslob. passed thru that route before from bacolod to cebu, very tiring. the best way is the trancentral or the new reclamation road. but if you are planning to pass by the oriental side of negros, better stay in dumaguete for a day.

there is a new sked from san carlos-toledo.

memphs up to when will you be here next week? we might be displaying a dmax on Gaisano mall on the 18th to 25th.

    Arb,
Thanks! Amlan pala. Sibulan is another port.
Very tiring, pero if you will stay overnight sa Dumaguete, its worth the trip.
Other than the 3 schedules for san carlos - toledo, what is the new sked?

Isipin ninyo kung mas mababa ang hp and torque rating ng Strada sa Dmax and if it rides like an ordinary pickup, syempre mas pipiliin pa rin ng mga consumers ang Dmax or Hilux kasi established na ito. So the new pickups should be able to offer more. ..................

    Djerms,
thanks! Agree ako bai. How on earth will they be able to regain by outdoing almost everything, right?

    MR,

diba naka turbo timer ka? automatic turbo timer ba ito? or ikaw manually naglalagay ng time? and hindi ka ba natatakot sa mall iwan kotse mo umaandar kahit naka lock, baka kasi hindi mamatay makina. hahaha.

My timer is a Pivot, manual ang setting sa countdown from 10 secs up to 10 minutes. Actually I was about to post about my new bypass system.

The technician who installed the timer offered me a bypass option that enables you to lock-up na while the timer is still counting down .
I asked him kung pano niya ginawa kasi wala naman akong nakitang box or chip na ininstall nya. He said that he simply placed a diode (somewhere sa right panel under the dash) and that enabled the central locking to bypass the timer. The diode daw also ensures na talagang mag-off ang engine.

So far wala pa naman akong alam na nag-recount na timer

You guys planning the trip to Bacolod/ARB -

If you are comnig from Cebu tama si ARB, take the San Carlos - Toledo route if you're in a hurry then we can all meet up nalang sa Bacolod. If you want a more challenging, not to mention scenic, drive you can take the Bato - Amlan barge trip then spend a night here sa Dumaguete then we can all go together in the 3 hour (230km) trip to Bacolod from here.

By the way, Fiesta pala dito sa Dumaguete this Nov.25. Sorry po pero wala po kaming handa hehehe .

ARB - I have a scheduled trip there but don't know yet whats the exact date. Take note ko nalang ang dates sa show nyo sa Gaisano, excited ko nang makita yang Dmax na yan!

However, the Dmax is not far behind naman in terms of comparison. It can still compete with the rest so guys, don't fret. Whats important is you still enjoy your ride and contented with it...I still am!
Tingnan lang natin pag lumabas na dito yung facelifted D-Max with the upgraded 4JJ1 i-TEQ engine.:naughty2: Sana lang makuha nila yung formula nung suspension ng Strada.

the strada suspension is just like the d-max but with less payload capacity. that is why it rides nice. have done it to my pick-up before, rides better than a strada, the load capacity mga 500kilos na lang. I did it lang when my wife was pregnant and when the baby was still small. then revert back to original specs.

sa mga naka M/T Dmax dyan. napansin nang dad ko last saturday na may switch daw yung clutch pedal underneath the dash. parang sa brake pedal switch for stop light. has anyone see these before? i'm yet to trace it pag na-coding yung truck namin. i wonder para saan ito.

nothing final yet. mahal pala goma! grabe. iniisip ko sound upgrade na lang hehe its cheaper

I saw somewhat(sneak peak) of the new ranger. mas-ok nga ito kesa sa strada IMO. more macho and more grunt(engine) which is what a pickup should be. Its better than the pics on the web. It's actually cleaner in person, i mean almost no gaps on the panels. and oh my goodness, the torque! Its a whopping 380nm, but its expensive 1.326M for M/T and almost 1.4M for the A/T(1.376M).

The trekker looks promising kase yun stance nya is similar to the 4x4. the only thing you get with the 4x4, aside from the engine(and 4wd) is 2 more speakers - 2 tweeters to be exact hehehe and the two tone paint touch.

trekker has 141hp, 330nm common rail with VGT. almost same price ng dmax natin guys, around 990k for M/T and 1.026 for A/T. naka-stock A/T tires pala ang ranger. Its longer and taller, but the dmax is wider.

gusto ko matest drive, to see if its comfier(ride) and roomier inside.
bagong arrival kase yun mga units sa casa last weekend at wala pang test units. hopefull in the coming weeks meron na. napansin ko lang, yun ebrake is an old school twist and pull type hehehe.

anyway, after visiting the ford casa(my wife noticing my excitement with the 380nm pickup)... my wife asked me "Honey, ano ba meron sa pickup at tumitingin ka ng pickup uli?" (kahit di naman ako bibili). Sabi ko, "kase it(pick-ups) seems to last forever. Anywhere you take it, it wont complain. at kahit ilan o ano isakay mo, its happy to haul it" ... she nodded with an approval and a happy smile

earlier that day when I arrived to check out the ranger sa casa, the ford agent said, "sir, mahilig kayo sa pickup ano?" nakita kase nya i pulled up in front of the dealership with a pickup hehehe.

argh! kelangan na natin yun dmax with crdi!!! may balita ba kayo kung ano plans ng isuzu. it looks like the xwind is the only one getting upgrades and facelifts hehehe.

Hehehe, not necessarily pwede naman tayo kain sa labas nalang. My mother-in-law tinatamad na kasing maghanda. The festivities will officially start by the 17th pero ang peak nyan is on the 24th or disperas, you can get kasi mga souvenirs, take pictures and other stuff. Kung tuloy kayo dito sa amin ni ARB, we will have a group picture with our units para post natin dito

ARB's Team Centerline/Accessline car shop is the best sa Bacolod They are known for the quality of their work and products, in fact when I was there last month they had a red Supra (not sure) that had Lamborghini doors!

i agree kaya lang parang di ako nagagandahan sa itsura nang bagong dmax e, mukhang modern day 'elf'. paanong hindi makakatikim nang facelifts ang xwind, e dyan kumikita ang isuzu.

    yes. yan nga MR.

    Just a wild guess.

Baka iyan yung clutch interlock switch. Some markets require this switch.

Basically, it means the starter won't crank unless you are stepping on the clutch. It is a safety measure.

Kaso hindi naman required iyan sa atin (disconnected?).

The best compliment I heard for facelifted Dmax is that the front looks like an Escalade .

Simply slap on a set of OMEs and it will ride better than the Strada.
