it all depends on the offset and tire size siguro. may fortuner nga na ka 24" and suzuki swift on 20". Best suggestion is when buying try out the tire/rim combo on the fronts and run it, turn it. this way sure na sure if kasya or hindi.

Ang total cost is 3,699php. Sulit na siya kasi may promo ang isuzu pasig ngayon, 20% discount for cash and 15% discount for card.

    Jason,
Decided nako sa Autotechnika. Transtech kasi ang habol ko doon eh, which casa or any other shops don't have. Change oil madali lang naman. BTW, do you know if the tappets need to be adjusted at 20tkms?

Baka sa casa ako magpa rustproofing.

    ARB,
May nakapagpalift na ba sa inyo? Do you have good shackles for the rear. Do you think magiging harsh ang ride if I crank the bars to achieve the minimal lift?

    Hi guys,

You might want to check out the latest Dmax vs New Strada (2.5) (11/07/2006)comparison. Binanatan ang dmax. I still like the tough look ng dmax.

Is the torque comparison true?

Thanks guys for all your suggestions sa undercoating

I think that 3M is the way to go especially that I plan to do a repeat application a year after para siguro lang.

I'm also considering the body color option mentioned by ARB, that's more interesting! But primarily the purpose is protection lang talaga. My bed is already coated with Wurth before I placed my liner so halos zero maintenance na yon.

    Rock On!

I'd choose the new Ranger anytime over the new Strada

I got a preview na a year ago pa sa Strada, long before I decided on my Dmax and I never liked it, well, at least exterior wise.

Kumbaga ang nag gupit sa Strada ay si Ricky Reyes, then sa Ranger is the chief barber sa PMA

And one more thing. Nampucha! Ang lakas pala ng Torque non!

ang ayoko lang sa ranger ay ang history nito na prone masira (I have an friend na nag-overheat ang 2.9L na ranger nya na barely 3 months old). Sinagot naman ng waranty.

yun mga kakilala ko na naka-trekker had tranny problems in less than a year old. Siguro having these new comers for more than a year will show who is really good....so far the 2.5 D4D of the toyota could not boast anything because of the problem nito.

Ok lang yun. Last year, D-Max vs. Hilux naman yung comparison nila at sa scorecard nila, natalo yung Hilux. After that they received much criticism dahil sa hatol nila. Saka di naman puro banat ang ginawa nila sa D-Max, they also highlighted its strong points. Ika nga ni Kuya Kim, ang buhay ay weather-weather lang.:weathermanf2:

pero seryoso ang panget talaga ng new mitsubishi pick up. Pipiliin ko pa rin hi-lux over the new mitsubishi pick up. Yun new mitsubishi pick up bagay sa bay watch na movie.

    srbogoy,
Sa Banawa ako nakatira. Im originally from Bacolod, Working here in Cebu, so I've done inter-island with my dmax na rin. Ganda ng ride mo.. Nakikita ko yung ride mo minsan naka park sa Banilad Town Center, nainggit ako (tulo laway).. Hehehehe... :taunt:

    Memphis,
Thanks. As I mentioned kay srbogoy, na tawid ko rin ang dmax ko from Cebu to Bacolod, all the 3 bigs ports where ferry's dock that can accommodate vehicles actually (If you have this vehicle you just like to settle the score and try these routes that you've been thinking to do!!!):

    1) Toledo City Port - San Carlos City Port (via transcentral highway to balamban) - Central ports - 200+ KM one way (will decrease via Don Salvador Benedicto)
    2) Tabuelan Port - Escalante City Port (Northern port) - 150+ -170+ KM on way to Bacolod
    3) Bato (Oslob) Port to Sibulan (Near Dumaguete, or was it another port before Sibulan??? I forgot the name) Port then cross up to Mabinay "high" highway - 250+ - 300+ KM or so to Bacolod.

If The Luzon guys would travel from Bacolod to Cebu, most likely they will take the San Carlos - Toledo route. If they plan to go via Dumaguete before Cebu, then mas ok (sabay ED kay Memphis hehehe). There are like around 10 trips daily from Dumaguete to Cebu (vice versa), pero 3 lang per day lang for both Escalante-Tabuelan and Toledo-San Carlo, unholy hours pa ang travel.
    :banana1:

Definitely the dmax holds up sa trip. Haven't crossed the islands for a while though. I'm planning do it again when I go home this December.

Or maybe mapadaan ako sa Dumaguete uli?? :drive1:

    Paulbaguio,
Welcome to Tsikot and to our Dmax thread.

Of course new entry pickups are supposed to be better than the previous releases right. Kung hindi eh mahihirapan sila magbenta coz the previous released rigs are already established.

Isipin ninyo kung mas mababa ang hp and torque rating ng Strada sa Dmax and if it rides like an ordinary pickup, syempre mas pipiliin pa rin ng mga consumers ang Dmax or Hilux kasi established na ito. So the new pickups should be able to offer more.

However, the Dmax is not far behind naman in terms of comparison. It can still compete with the rest so guys, don't fret. Whats important is you still enjoy your ride and contented with it...I still am!

The Strada's design is fine with me. However I prefer the tonka look coz its proven to be ageless...
