Yup mas maganda spray on para rustproof pero kung may extra money ka you can put both spray on and the drop in bedliner. But since lalagyan mo yan ng lid at di yan open spay on ka na lang.
http://www.pace-edwards.com/ pili ka na dito
comparing the spray on bedliner and the drop in?? better ang drop in kc hindi direct contact kahit ano ilagay mo sa likod ng bed.. much protected yun bed.. the only thing sa spray on bedliner is hindi magrust... pwede naman hindi spray on bedliner gamitin, you coudl use a rubberized undercoating to spray on your bed then put on a drop in beldiner... meron naman mura na maganda dyan...iv used the maxliner and its really matibay... dropped a drum on it already and the plastic didnt deform or crack...
I have been using a Carryboy Roller Lid for more than a year already but I haven't experienced that "opening on its own." Please back read this thread and you'll see the pics of my roller lid. If I am not mistaken, that was around August or September 2008. For my personal experience, it has its own pros and cons.
Pros:
- It's so convenient that you don't have to pull and retract it manually (very nice if its raining.)
- You don't need to lock/unlock since there is no other way to open it other than its remote control or the other emergency button.
Cons:
- It doesn't retract all the way to the end. This is so annoying since you couldn't maximize the space of the bed especially if you're hauling long and big stuffs. I think the part that doesn't retract is around 12 inches.
- It's not waterproof. It's not different from my Pace Edwards (not motorized.) So if it's raining, expect that the things you will put there will get if not very wet, just wet.hehe
- Using the remote would take sometime to get to used to. I seldom use the remote. If you press it multiple times, it wouldn't move coz its computer is already confused. Solution is wait for a minute or two.
- Installation would take sooooo long. When I had it installed in mine, they had to change its remote 3x and the computer box 2x, if my mind serves me correctly. It didn't want to work at first. More than a year after, good thing it's still working properly.
- If its mechanism malfunctions, I don't think you could open it anymore.
Verdict:
If you want to impress others and you're not into hauling big stuffs, you could consider the roller lid. Otherwise, try reconsidering other models. If my roller lid gets broken, I would rather choose Pace Edwards or something that is not roller lid, which I am using in my other truck, than the Carryboy Roller Lid.
For the spray on bedliner vs drop in bedliner, they said that the spray on is better since it is directly in contact with the bed. Whereas to drop in, time will come that rust might build up in the bed. Someone just told me that, I could only speak for spray on bedliner since that is what I am using in my pickups. So far so good.
saka pede bang naka carryboy canopy ka at the same time naka drop in bead liner sabay? lapat ba?
salamat po...![]()
TURNING RADIUS. Is there a way to improve the turning radius of our d-max? I find there are certain streets I can take a u-turn with just "one click" on my other car, a hyundai tucson. While I either have to compensate or I need to do a two point u-turn. Other than that, I am very happy with my 5 year old d-max 4x2 M/T LS. It's a really reliable workhorse.
sa akin pundido narin lights behind the themostat dial.
may chevy colorado forums, DIY replace LEDs. skill with a soldering iron and electronics diagram required. fun read.

thanks for the link.
Nice. I guess yun 2004 dmax nasa TF Pickup category. Will inquire further pag nandyan na pera.
Bakit? same chassis lang naman sila ng '07. or built in nba sya sa 08 and up.
i used both, spray and dropin. for total protection. i used 3liters spray. manipis lang para hndi lang kalawangin and then the drop in. pag po kasi spray lang, magaspang. baka po pagnaglagay ka ng sako ng bigas, mabutas.
hi sir! just an opinion from a fellow pickup owner...
I have my doubts on your specs of it being put to the DMAX...first reason is that AFAIK the limit of the 265 or the 32" size is only 9 inches by the width so definitely you cannot use 32" on 16x10's....2nd, if you still consider installing the 16x10's you should install at least a minimum of 33" tires...but the thing is I doubt that it will fit flawlessly to your DMAX because for sure you will be having a lot of rubbing in the wheel wells/fender liner and the mud guard....
so my advice is that if you want to go for the 32 inch get at least 16x9 magwheels for it to be accommodated and expect a little rubbing on the mudguards which can be remedied by a little trimming, but if you want to go for the 16x10 mags, get a 33inch tires and have at least a 2 inch lift for it to be accomodated and then expect a higher fuel consumption plus a little bit lowered performance on the engine...
but if you want to grab and go nalang walang whatsoevergo for 265/75 AT tires on 16x8 mags....if you want MT's kasi I can't assure you that there wouldn't be anu rubbing kasi depende sa laki ng spikes nung tires...
good luck on choosing!
hope it helps...![]()
