Yeah Roco, we have been 'educated' on the use of Devil's Own Alcohol Injection hehe. SRBogoy had one installed in his unit. Lakas daw talaga and cleaner burning.

ahh I see sir MR...I too was amazed of the output...I just found the post by dvldoc(I think he is the one who markets the alcohol injection) I edited some parts of it to focus on the dmax part... there was a dyno rating result posted together with but I think he posted the wrong results..because it was for a hilux...

You don't want to race this DMAX, it's was makiing so much power we thought it might break loose on the dyno. We couldn't get the transmission to stay in second after we change nozzles to the D04 (4 gallons per hour)

This thing is a torque monster and can roast the tires First run on the alcohol was just on rubbing alcohol, the second was on Gin The tq if you look at the charts is well above 400lbs. But this shows you again what kinds of gains can be had with just alcohol injection alone. If this vehicle was chipped the power would be beyond impressive. The Fortuner we did with the Unichip could roast the tires in 4 wheel drive with 3 people in the vehilce and the aircon on full.

But this DMAX makes an easy 225hp and 400lbs of Torque on the bone stock engine with just alcohol injection.

see the highlighted words in red? its well above the specs of the so called fastest pickup in the market today...it was passed by the Dmax easily with just alcohol injection alone...what more with the chip upgrade?

The most engine mod I did was a cone type K&N which really improved the acceleration. Switched back to stock box since my route evolved into daily drives along very dusty roads.

ahh I see sir, why not try the K&N drop in air filter?...works well with us on stock air intake...
filters the air better than the OEM filter plus the performance...=D

mga sir tanong ko lang. which is better. palitan ko ng shocks ang dmax or palitan ko ng mulye. masakit na talaga kasi katawan ko. ang tagtag ng dmax. may nagsabi sakin na palitan ko daw ng shocks. sobrang gaganda daw talaga. pati handling daw gaganda din. sabi nmn sa kasa palitan ko lang daw ng maikli at manipis na mulye. gaganda na daw pero if nakakapagkarga ko ng 6 bags ng rice. 3 nalang.

You can also try inverting the last two leafs like what I did. Try mo muna bago ka bumili ng shocks. Your load weight capacity will be affected at the rear but malaki ang difference talaga sa ride. You can't do much for the front since we don't have a coil-shock combo like the Strada does.

Good question and actually my answer is simple. I ran out of budget

It was kinda wasteful of me to get a drop-in type then render the cone type useless since it won't fit in my other car. I still switch from stock to K&N from time to time. Kinda fun listening to that hissing sound when accelerating hehe.

I have no D-Max but I do use these on my '05 Trooper:

ano po ba nagagawa o mangyayari pagnagpalit po ako ng shocks? yung sa inyo sir diba pinalitan nyo din ng shocks?

I had replaced mine with Bilstein HD (Comfort Setting) since acquisition back 2005 (refer to photo above). Very happy with the performance. Each cost (5 years ago) around 5,500 each.

Yes, I had to remove the mudguards kasi the large tread blocks rubs against them. I even had to shave a few plastic parts there too which was a bad idea :hysterical:

Dang I love this truck. Except for the clutch release bearing I replaced last year, the engine is practically bullet-proof.

same here had to remove mudgards for the 18s... but di bale looks very good. naman... heheheh...

and memphis... dont forget to drain the sedimenter underneath the pickup.. kc electronic yun injection pump natin and wala ata maka claibrate dyan sa cebu...i think... and cost alot!!!! kaya i repalced my fuel fiter every change oil kahit vrepalcement lang...

nope... no complication at all... 1 thing though is that shorter life span of your bushing and shocks but .. but since i inverted mine.. last 2004 i just replaced my bushings 1 time pa and shocks 1 also... hindi naman kc kinakargahan ang pick up ko...

Maganda palit lahat shocks. I am not sure about inverted leaf but for sure ride would improve with the Bilsteins.

you have to get the engine scanned and the scanner will tell the tech whats at fault.

from there the tech is going to verify the fault code by performing diagnostics tests on the affected circuit or circuits.

once its pinpointed,the tech will make a recommendation .

and nagkaprob. nga po pala dmax ko. bigla nalang umiingit ung break caliper. sobrang ingay. yung sa may right side. tapos bigla nalang nawala. sabi ko baka nalamigan lang. . pero nasaldak po kasi yung side na un mga 2 weeks after ilabas ng casa. pang 2 months na niya ngayon. connected po kaya dun yun.. malakas po kasi pagkakasaldak. butas nga po ung gulong e. as in warak talaga. nalubak ako sa man hole. di nila tinakpan.
