hi cardo, regarding the mags, i cant answer u about it. but the speakers on 4 doors are 6.5inches, pwede din lagyan to ng 5. but if u want to maximize, kasya ung 6.5. i upgraded my sound system and its really nice, but u atleast have to dedenned ur doors para hindi magiging can like ung midbass mo

Hi guys!
i'm about to own the 1 year old D-MAX of my dad since may buyer na nung '98 trooper ko. Question ko lang is how does it fair when it comes to fuel consumption in both city and highway driving? One of the primary reasons why I chose it is due to its known fuel economy. My trooper kasi does around 6-6.5km/l lang sa city.

DMAX is a 4x2 LS AT model.

Also pano ba gamitin yung 3rd and power button dun sa tabi ng shifter? Its gonna be my first time to own an AT kasi so medyo nangangapa pa.

May sumpong lately yung D-Max 4x2 A/T ko. Pag di ko siya nagamit ng at least 1 day, dun sa unang-unang beses na paaandarin ko ulit siya pagkashift ko from P to D at pagkarelease ko ng brake & handbrake, di siya aabante ng kusa, kelangan ko tapakan ng konti yung accelerator para umandar siya. Pero sa mga succeeding times na magshift ako from P to D, pagbitaw ko sa brakes, kusa na siyang aabante. Pinacheck ko na yung brakes kung naninikit, di naman daw.
Marumi na kaya yung ATF? Kapapalit lang nung 20T km PMS, nasa 32T+ kms na odo ko.
Sa mga naka 4x2 A/T, may napapansin din ba kayong ganito?

Anong brand kya ng turbo timer mgandang ikabit sa dmax? balak ko kc APEXi n brand. Meron n rin kc 2ng nka-integrated na voltmeter function..

djerms-- 3rd start mode is used wen mejo nasa off road ka.. wen u turn it on ur gear is on 1:1 ratio, meaning naka 3rd gear ka... kaya malakas ang kapit ng tires and ur tires wont just spin around... power mode is an extra power to engine to maximize ur gear speed.. kc db mejo bitin ang auto pag mag overtake ka, u cud use dat but i doubt ull use it parati... malakas naman engine ng dmax...

Jarhead--thanks a lot bro. Another question, at what gear should I engage the shifter before pressing the 3rd button? May certain speed ba to observe before engaging?

Yup, hindi ko pa nga nagagamit power mode ng dmax..hehe

djerms- huwag mo na gamitin yan... kung baga sa manual 3rd gear pina patakbo kotse mo and it will remain on it until u turn it off...

1 time nakipag karera ako sa naka stage 1 na civic hatchback,
all stock lang dmax ko under the hood
nauna pa ako sa civic na hatchback.
stock tires pa gamit ko nun at that time.
i miss my pick na, sold it na kasi. nyahahaha

Nikko, yung 3RD button, katumbas ng WINTER mode ng Trooper a/t yun. It is not needed to engage third, rather it starts the vehicle from rest directly into 3rd gear to limit slip.

Kung hindi naka-ilaw ang 3RD mo, the unit will shift through all the gears as needed.

djerms-- starting lng yan.. froma rest position directly 3d gear ang gamit niya once ipatakbo mo... hindi yan mag engage once ur running na... msira ata dmax mo pag bigle mag 3rd gear lng cya parati...
