hi,
pls advise the correct size/lenght of front "Kyb Gas adjust shocks" for the dmax.
been going around auto supply stores and they still do not know the correct kyb shocks unless you provide a sample.
but since im in a hurry, gusto ko dala ko na correct shocks then pakabit ko nalang sa servitek or similar. and i do not want to visit the casa for this kind of job.
for those aftermarket shocks like OME and Ranchos, wht size/lenght do they use for the dmax, front shocks only.
thanks

the grill here in cebu roughly costs around 5 to 6k. maganda sana mak 20 or 22's sa dmax natin, kaso lang ung ride natin. parang wala nang shocks at 10 na ung leafspring natin instead of 7. hehe
mga sir, ano po ba ang ideal na tire pressure (using stock tires) for the dmax?
meron naka-dikit sa driver side door panel, di ko ako sure kung 29 psi(front), 31 psi (rear)
check mo na lang.
vanleano, sorry forgot the name of the store... It was almost a year ago pa...
Upgrading to 20 or 22's is will definitely make the ride (super) matagtagIn my case, just upgrading to A/T tires medyo naging stiffer pa, kahit same size ng rims and tires.
And its difficult for me to park such a wide and long car. I usually scrape the tire side walls with the gutter(what if I had 20's?) - because I'd like to maximise my parking space and I park where I only have 1 car on one side... and I leave an extremely wide gap in between to avoid dings and dimplesI've already damaged the stock rims doing this hehehe.
pero ung ride matitiis mo parin nung nagpalit ka ng tires???vanleano, sorry forgot the name of the store... maybe we can come up with a list of each ones' trusted shop/mechanic for non-casa repairs. lalo na for the engine / inside engine bay repairs.
so far for me:
change oil - shell station in front of lavista but brought my own orig oil filter
suspension - zee
wheel alignment - tireking servitek marcos hi-way
2004 4x2 (dunno if ls or lx sorry, I don't live at home). I remember our driver telling me na 15-18 km/l siya. Manual, for highway driving.Originally Posted by garyq

We used it for a road trip to Bicol. Para kaming naki-boxing pagdating namin there and back. Well, it was bought naman for practical purposes and not for its comfortable ride (or the lack thereof)!
Actually, I find d dmax suspension way better than the frontier or the older version hilux. Mas okay pa rin ang fuego mas mukhang car ride.
Maybe you should lower your air pressure kung wala kang dalang bagahe.
Baka kasi sanay ka lang sa riding comfort ng oto....wala pang pick-up na sasabay sa smooth ride ng oto (nearest na would be the fuego)...pero kakaiba pa rin ang smoothness ng oto.
Check this out! Finally Petron will sell Biodiesel in their station. Tamang tama for the holy week!
Petron to sell bottled CME biodiesel in all retail outlets
By Donnabelle L. Gatdula
The Philippine Star 03/19/2006
Petron Corp. has signed a distributorship agreement with a coco-methyl ester (CME) supplier to sell bottled CME in all its retail stations nationwide.
Energy Secretary Raphael P.M. Lotilla said this development "is a clear manifestation of their support to President Arroyo’s energy independence program."
Partly government-owned Petron also recently inked a contract to supply the pre-blended coco-diesel requirements of state-owned National Power Corp. (Napocor).
Lotilla said the coco-biodiesel needs of the state-run power generation company will be used in its vehicles.
Under the contract, Petron will supply about 180,000 liters of coco-methyl ester or coco-biodiesel to Napocor.
Lotilla said it was, however, specified in the contract between Petron and Napocor that the risk of using such product will be shouldered by the buyer and not by the supplier.
The government through Executive Order 126, mandates all government agencies and offices to reduce their electricity and fuel consumption by 10 percent while Administrative Order 110 establishes the government energy management program.
For its part, the Department of Energy (DOE) had mandated the use of coco-biodiesel for blending with diesel in government vehicles.
The department is currently working towards mandating bio-ethanol blending with gasoline for government vehicles.
A mandate for a one percent blend of PNS-compliant CME in diesel will bring about a very significant 10-30 percent increase in mileage.
A minimum 10 percent mileage increase is seen to deliver actual savings to motorists of at least P150 per 50-liter full tank at prevailing diesel prices.
This results to savings of about P16 billion in diesel import costs per year for the whole country and 30-60 percent less emissions from all diesel engines in use.
The DOE has been encouraging the private sector to continue helping the government spur the development of these alternative fuels.
In August last year, oil companies committed to make available bottled CME in their retail stations nationwide.
So far, independent players like Seaoil, Flying V, and Eastern Petroleum have been selling bottled CME in their retail stations nationwide.
Aside from selling bottled CME, Flying V, on the other hand, is selling one percent pre-blended CME in their pump station.
