Get the Crosswind. Basta Isuzu, matibay ang makina. Ours is a 2002 Isuzu Hi-Lander Crosswind XTRM, 9 seater, 11 seater kapag sardinas. We have not encountered any problems with our Isuzu. Good looks from the outside, add a roof rack, rear stepboard and side stepboards. I suggest you get the Crosswind XL/XT variant, easy 3rd row seats folding and seats more than the Sportivo. Hirap na hirap ang seating at folding sa Sportivo. Pwede naman bihisan para magmukhang Sportivo ang XL/XT.

Manipis ang pinto ng Avanza, so if safety is a concern... And the Avanza is available in 7-seater configuration, it's considered as a MPV, not AUV. Adventure and Crosswind are considered AUVs by the way.

If you have further questions, don't be hesitant to ask. I also have the prices for the 3 vehicles mentioned.

Kinda late... go home time so i'll just make it simple...
kung bagong kasal ka, satisfied ka pa rin sa performance ng Crosswind mo
kahit mag high school na ang panganay mo.

angelo, go for the crosswind. as the rest have said you'll get power, space and durability. while it is slower than the two in terms of speed, its speed is more than what our highways and roads can allow both in physical condition and regulation.

if you can afford, get the sportivo x model. i made a comparison with the xt, and the 21 points better specs is worth the P217k price difference. no more modifications to make.

this is my third isuzu. the first two were bought used (tersera mano) but they never let me down, always reliable.

btw jed, sportivo x comes with a third row seat as facing front OR the usual jump seat. you have a choice. while it is true that it is more convenient for passengers entering the third row with the jump seat, once inside it is much more comfortable for the third row passengers to be facing front specially on a long trip and and enjoy viewing the headrest mounted video monitor.

and it depends on how frequent you have a third row passenger, as for me its not everyday, maybe once in two weeks.

    Hi Sir Benz,

I currently have a project of wanting to deaden the firewall of our Isuzu Crosswind 2011 model. My question is do you have a diagram of the firewall or do you have any advices or suggestions on what to deaden so as to lessen the engine noise from coming into the cabin? So far what I did was to deaden the whole front driver and passenger flooring up to the firewall footwell and that alone minimized almost 30-40% of the noise that is coming into the cabin. I have also deadened the wiper wells in front. I was trying to locate any holes on the firewall inside but I cannot find one. So far my only choice is to find holes in the firewall outside on the engine bay and deaden it. I'm using STP deadeners by the way.

Good day everyone. Seeking advice how to fix (2004 Crosswind XTRM M/T) slow acceleration and very poor hauling.

Pieces of advice i heard from:
Baka daw sinakal ung injection pump (dahil walang kausok usok)
Yung sa calibration or timing daw dapat tingnan.

    Ano kaya? Salamat

Good day Sir/Maam. Newbie to tsikot forum, I've recently included Isuzu Crosswind Sportivo X JS MT(1.140M) to my list along with the Isuzu Dmax LX(993k) & newly added variant 2.2 Ford Ranger XL 4x2 Hi-Rider MT(959k) chosing the one to be purchase this year. Is it ideal/worth to purchase Sportivo X over his counterparts near/little over P1M price category midsize suv and pick ups now? Is there promos worth P75k applicable also to bank financing like BDO/BPI?

I know Crosswind Sportivo terms of Reliable, durable, fuel efficient, low maintenance & long lasting that why its more appealing mostly OFW's, businessmen & budget wise people here in Davao Region. I prefer a vehicle thats big & hauling some stuff mixed with family use also. Hope you'll give me thought before I chose the right vehicle for me. Thank you & God bless!

    good day sirs.
just hoping for some help & input.

I drive a 2010 crosswind XL, recently, we've been experiencing low power, engine stalling problems.
There are instances when i remove my foot from the accelerator to shift gears, or to go neutral on a full stop, the engine shudders & stalls.
I have diffculty restarting the engine. It usually takes around 3 clicks.

It started last year around November 2012. At that time, odometer reading was 17,500+kms.
We had it checked & was advised to have the fuel filter replaced.
I thought it was odd since we just replaced the fuel filter during 10,000km PMS & as per ISUZU recommendations, interval for fuel filter replacement is every 10,000kms.

We also had the fuel tank/pump/lines checked & was advised that everything is OK.
We were advised that the fuel flter was dirty & had to be replaced in order for the engine to run smoothly.

Everything was OK since December 2012 until less than 4 months later, i started experiencing low power & engine stalling problems this April 2013.
I had it checked out & it the fuel filter is clogged again after 4months/ 1500kms.
Concerned, we investigated further again & was NOW advised that the clooged fule filter was caused by rust particles forming inside the fuel tank.

Has anyone experienced this? what can be done? what needs to be done?
    thanks in advance.

goodmorning, exactly we aleady experienced the same situation in your car. We brought it to isuzu makati:
    1. they examine the diesel coming from the tank and found out that the diesel was contaminated by rust.
    2. then they pulled down the tank it was the culprit cause of many particles of rust that cause the car don't run or perform well..
    3. they suggest to cut some portion of tank which was affected by rust, and had to replace a metal or whatever just to replace the cut portion of tank they said and will weld it.
    4. In short it was finished within 3 days and pump by pressure the fuel system lines or tubes.
    5. then finally replace new fuel filter. now our car is okay.hope this would help.

    * Miners,
Choosing between a pick-up and an AUV is a matter of your need or planned used. Choosing between brands and models is a matter of your wants or preferences, like looks, size or space, power, speed, fuel efficiency, durability, amenities, safery, etc. you cannot have them all in one model, that's why you set your preference where one will compensate for another.

in your case where you will haul mixed stuffs, it seems that you need a pick up (my personal opinion). Choosing among the brands and models of pick-ups is now a matter of preference.

usually, one gets the discount (where you mentioned 75k) even with bank financing. In my case the dealer gave me the discount and more. Talk it out with the dealer's agent or the bank manager.

    good luck

I'm sure you can find a good buy with your budget, stick to your plan - xuv or sportivo.

I just would like to give my unsolicited advice on your 50k repair budget. whether or not the unit you'll buy will look perfectly well, have the under chassis parts (pang-ilalim) like nuts, bushings, ball joints, etc. checked at the casa, all of them. if there's a part that is starting to be broken or already loose, change it. if it comes with a pair, say left and right or up and down, change the other as well.

i did this to my previous hi-lander slx which was 8 years old when i bought it, i spent 30k including minor body repair, i was worry-free for almost two years.

    enjoying searching for your crosswind.

good day. i own a Isuzu Crosswind 2002 XUVi AT and im planning to replace its transmission since i cant run the vehicle more than 60kph.

eventually we were advised to change its transmission.

can you recommend a shop where we can acquire and replace the parts, aside from the casa?
