Sedimentor needs overhauling? What a way to describe a job that is actually done by just draining the water separator/sedimentor and replacement of fuel filter. The job is too easy that even P200 will appear to cost a lot to do it.

Kaya ecited kung malaman kung magkano ang actual nabayatran ni astra22 kasi na experience ko rin yan last year at DIY kolang e. Complikado pala ang gawin sa casa at e overhaul ang sedimeter.

That's sales talk in action. Making it sound complicated so that they can charge higher for a very simple job. Buti sana kung hard to reach yung sedimenter/water separator tsaka yung fuel filter. Kaso ni hindi mo kelangan kumembot or yumuko man lang para i-replace yung fuel filter and drain the sedimenter/water separator ng crosswind eh.

i second to this. yes you're right. actually anybody can DIY basta alam lang ang procedure. hind naman ino-overhaul ang water/sedimentor pump, e-pull-out lang ito from engine bay then mas maganda kung meron ka bench vise tool para madali buksan ito then linisin lang ang loob. pag sa casa of course you would spend more. that's business bro.

Mga Sirs ask ko lang kung saan yung aircon thermostat ng crosswind xuv 2002. Yung aircon ko kasi minsan lalamig minsan hindi. Pinacheck ko na sa gumagawa ng aircon so nilinis ang aircon lahat pati check ang compressor. Pero on/off pa din ang aircon. Napapansin ko lang na parang hindi nag automatic yung compressor. Wala yung tunog na click everytime na umaandar yung compressor. Tried to check yung compressor wala naman lick. So suspect ko eh thermostat. San po nakikita ito and san nakakabili? How muchdin po kaya ito? Tnx po.

sir sa pagkakaalam ko ay naka attach ang thermostat sa evaporator kung nagpalinis ka ng aircon they should have check it kung umaandar madali lang naman i check ito on your ac then pindutin mo yung switch na may kulay blue na located sa mga aircon controls or pwede ring i full mo yung thermostat control mo then i try mong ibaba you should here the sound of the compresor kung mag on o mag off...HTH

sa 2010 model nandun sa ilalim ng glove box. nahihigpitan nila dun minsan nag lo-loose. nagkaganyan sa akin tapos hinigpitan lang nung technician.

di ko lang sure kung saan nakakabili. pero known naman ang isuzu na di hirap humanap ng pyesa. malamang loose lang yan kung gumagana pa. sa akin kasi ganun minsan lumalamig tapos nawawala ng matagal. siguro pag nalulubak. pero nung mahigpitan ok na. normal operation na ulit

sir try mo muna icheck yung socket na nakakabit sa drier ng aircon..minsan kasi nagloloose ito na kala mo nakakabit pa. kaya paghindi nagcontact yung socket sa drier hindi talaga mageengage yung compressor. Nangyari ito sa isa kong sasakyan at hinala ko nung una thermostat kasi minsan on/off on/off yung compressor minsan hindi nageengage..yun pala loose lang

Sir Doo, thanks very much for your help. I looked for it in several auto supplies but found none. So I ended up buying 1 from the dealer. Bulb costs Php185 (small but terrible indeed hehe). Voila-let there be light. Thanks sir. Kudos to you!

sir mahal naman ng bulb na nabili mo...nakabili ako sir 15/pc sa suking electronic shop pilot bulb ang tawag maraming silang klase pili lang ng pinakamalapit...by the way pati yung mga switches (foglight,rear wiper.side mirror control)na malabo or wala ng ilaw same procedure din alisin lang ung bulb replace with new one...

San maganda at maayos magpabody repair? Nabangga rear bumper ko, lower part ng rear door at misaligned yung lagayan ng spare tire, basag din yung overrider sa front bumper ko. May nabibilhan ba ng surplus nito (bumper at overrider) or casa na lang?

doon sa mga stores na malapit sa arnaiz ave. doon kasi ako madalas makakita ng mga
leaf springs na naka display. di ko lang sure kung para nga sa crosswind 'yung mga 'yon.

naintriga naman ako doon sa leaf springs mo. 'yung sa tatay ko, crosswind xuv a/t '02 rin.
iniluwas ko lang last nov. at nagpalit ako shock absorbers. stuck na kasi. natuyuan na raw ng
matres, este langis pala. nauunat pala ang leaf spring ng crosswinds? either i can't believe or
over "bilib" lang talaga ako sa crosswinds. ang tibay eh. hth.

big learning din ito sa akin. laking ginhawa sa makina talaga. kaya every change oil, i make sure sedimentor is "overhauled". some gas stations don't do it so kelangan i-specify pa at yung ibang tech di rin marunong; o baka trip lang talaga nila madaming pumping action ;).

usual change oil fee at Petron with this procedure: P450.

ano ang effect sa crosswind na unat ang leafspring? kund hindi pantay (horizontal) yung body (gap between rear tire and fender on both sides not equal), baka pwede mo i-try lagyan yg lower side nung kalang. usual na gamit ito nang mga public vans. cheaper ito at corrective din naman for that kind of problem. don't think an inch or two will significantly hurt the ride comfort.

Actually yun nga, medyo nag-sag na yung rear end kahit walang load. Approximately mga 1inch lang naman na mas mababa compared sa gap ng front wheels to its fender. May nag-suggest sa kin na magpa-fabricate ng leaf spring shackles na mas mahaba para tumaas ulit. Since di naman masyado nakakargahan ng mabigat na load ung unit ko, might as well try that too. Visually kasi mas mababa yung rear end ng unit ko compared sa front kahit walang load so I was thinking of a remedy para mapataas ko ulit yung rear end. I will consider your recommendation sir. Thank you!

my relatively new xuv had a similar problem with rear leafspring and was disappointed with isuzu's quality. but when i checked around the big auto shops, they advsied me to leave as is due to cost of replacing the leaf spring and baka mag even then sila sa continued use. besides, even other brand new cars have that problem too ~ yun ang sabi nila.
