if safety is the issue the MUX has a 5 star ancap safety rating and nanalo pa ng ozroamer award sa australia which is isa ang safety sa criteria nila, kung may prob man sa seatbelt its still a minor prob and the important thing is gumawa agad ang isuzu ng immediate action, mas delikado naman ung insufficient weld kesa sa seatbelt eh pag un ang bumigay major accident ang result, i know seatbelt is important pero it will not be a cause of a disastrous accident agad2 ung iba kasi OA lang =)

It will cause a serious accident according to Australia government and there was a recall in Australia last year 2014 for Isuzu MU-X. This was issued by the Australian government, but I believe Isuzu has also acted upon this. I don't know if the units arrived in the PH was already rectified by Isuzu, but then this was last year, so given the amount of time maybe Isuzu fixed this on their new production, but better ask your dealer about this.

In the event of a severe frontal accident the nut may break and the passengers seated in the 2nd row of seats, utilising the center seat belt anchorage point, may not be sufficiently restrained.

it will cause a serious accident talaga kung balak mo talaga ibangga ang sasakyan kahit gano pa ka safe ang isang sasakyan, my point is hindi naman agad2 magiging cause yan ng major accident as long as maingat din yung nagdadala ng sasakyan unless nga reckless driver ka.

But the fact still remains there was a recall for isuzu and it was acted upon by isuzu. IMHO, First world countries have higher standards, they assume everyone is stupid hence stricter laws and regulations. And this issue in their view is serious, whether you agree or not is mute. Hence the law was followed and a recall was issued.

yes hindi naman dinedeny ung issue eh and again they already made some actions to address the prob thats the most important thing here, its not like its the first time na nagkaroon ng recall ang isang car maker na para bang mortal sin na papatay agad2 haha and the fact din na mas malala pa nga ung recall ng ibang brands compared sa isuzu

Yup, I agree. As long car manufacturers are open, act and rectify the issue or situation.

I think chevy already fixed this as well as isuzu. It was way back 2014, can you confirm this with your dealer if they have already addressed the issue?

Looks like the units that came in were not rectified yet. SA confirmed that letters will be sent by the plant to its customers and will be announced in the newspapers. He did not say though when :-(

That's good to know kudos to isuzu phil. Chevy should follow isuzu if the units they brought in has defects or has a recall issue.
