Gov't CAN'T even convince them public utility enthusiasts to get rid of their WW2 rolling coffins.... err clunkers in favor of the newer, more environment friendly rides without feeling the wrath of their "Inter-Club Group EBs" which usually is held during work days

I have a Mu-x 2017 3.0 model I know that this is EURO 2 but since I already bought this Me and to others who already buy this brand lets accept and be proud of it. There is no problem owning this vehicle as long as you maintain it properly and think also many vehicle there are EURO 0. We cannot compare our country to other country which is EURO 4 5 and 6.

Hello! Magtatanong lang po. Utilitarian kasi ako when it comes to cars. Maingay po ba sa loob at matagtag ang mux na tipong magigising ang anak ko pag natutulog? Speed is not a concern kasi ndi ako nangangarera.

Mu-x is not so noisy when you are inside the car outside naman ok lang naman its normal, for me mu-x hndi cya matagtag compared to the previous fort and montero. for maintenance for me you should follow your correct maintenance schedule to be able for you to use the car in a long time period. using mu-x in mountain area and off road you consider the 4x4 variant not the 4x2 of course. mu-x is already rust proof in manufacturing but you have a choice to add more rust proofing after u buy the car.

    Any feedback po guys..

    Thank you

Un sa kin di naman maingay. Tahimik sya compared sa 2015 and below ng other brands. Sa maintenance aside from changing oil and filter, un fuel filters kailangan faithful sa pagpalit para di magkaproblem ang injectors. Pagdating sa other fluids nakalagay naman sa manual ang intervals. Un timing chain pang forever naman.

    Enjoy your new ride sir!!

NEVER allow anyone to make you feel uncomfortable just because you purchased your unit this last year where EURO 2s are still allowed to be sold.

Incidentally, I'm also waiting on my 2017 Dmax LT (MT) unit to be delivered to Isuzu MLA... hopefully, I can drive it home to my garage by this month's end

Just had my 1.5kms pms last week. I was a little confused when the SA asked me on what oil they will put. There's this mineral oil 15W-40 if i'm not mistaken, then there's the multi Z 10W-30. Then there's Besco 10W-30. I asked what's the best oil and the SA told me, that multiZ and besco are basically the same, besco is just imported and that is why it's a bit pricey. Also, she said that the original oil that was in the mux coming out from the plant was the Besco.

But then, most our their customers she said, choose to put the mineral oil.

I just like to ask what kind of oil do you put in your Mux and why? Thanks.

Try to avoid basing your choice on the brand, almost always they can be confusing as you yourself have discovered.

For me, I look at the oil ratings first and foremost... SAE and ACEA. Mineral or FS doesn't weigh too much on my choice as long as the particular oil has the oil ratings that is required for your engine. Example, FS nga napili mo but it is still CF-rated lang, pwede pero not really adviseable for crdi or Ddi engines. Sana man lang, CH-4, CI, OR CJ is most recommended.

I was advised by knowledgeable car guys to use mineral oil. Fully synthetic oils produce sludge and this mud like material clogs up the engine. Fully synthetic oils will afford you longer intervals between pms like 10k kms before the next oil change but I don't mind going for pms every 5k kms basta walang putik na deposit sa loob ng makina ng sasakyan ko.

This informative and objective video by Engineering Explained puts Synthetic Oil in a better light than Mineral Oil. Apparently in Europe, such long intervals have already been the norm for quite a long time. I would personally still not go past 10,000 km without an oil change though.

Again, I don't pay too much attention on the brand, sir.

As long as the oil ( Mineral or FS ) MEETS the SAE and ACEA ratings requirements for the Di and/or Crdi engines, either is just fine.

Also, don't forget to follow the manufacturer's recommended oil change service intervals.

Even if I were using FS, I still change my oil within the 5,000 kms intervals. Rarely do I go past the 7,000 kms periodic mark. On mineral-based oils, 3,500 kms usually. BUT this is just my OWN personal preference.

Also just to add, I don't mind switching back and forth between Mineral or FS. It shouldn't matter (in theory/principle).

Just keep in mind sir/Doc MD888, Europe gets QUALITY Petrol and Diesel fuels. Here in the P.I. is another story. I don't always believe what I see advertised on TV, Print and/or other marketing media outfits. More often than not, they are exaggerated. So I adjust a little just to play it safe.

    My 0.02 cents po.

Yes, of course. The difference in quality here and abroad is evident. We still have to make our own adjustments to compensate for that. Promoting that supposed 20,000 mile engine oil aside, the guy in the video is a competent engineer who knows his thing. It was quite nice to know some facts he stated there.

I just change oil every 5km sa diesel using mineral. For a gas engine I use syntethic and change every 10k km. Umaandar panaman sila hhehehe and i do maintenance myself i just follow the cars manual. No fuzz no tricks. I always use original parts. I will be getting my unit tom. I hope it will perform in loading my catch.
