    Isuzu Motorsports was able to squeeze out 180Kw/600Nm from 4JJ1, yun nga lang for competitions lang hehe. Since minor lang difference ng 2.5, kaya naman siguro ng 4JK1 ng extra power.

    After driving more than 100kms today, parang palakas ng palakas ang power, hindi na siya pigil. And to those who are saying its mausok, I drove with a convoy kanina to observe. Kahit anung piga ko, kahit biglain ang accelerator, no visible smoke. Happy with this purchase.

    I got my unit sa Isuzu Pasig, where I also got my 2014 Dmax. Okay naman dun but inspect carefully kasi may mga bilang na minor tama at gasgas ang sasakyan, which i really dont think maiiwasan due to transport and handling. Just make sure no major damage.

    Bro do you think the 2.5vgs engine block is the same as the 3.0vgs? Iba lng bore×stroke? If so then the power boost you have is completely safe hahaha.

    Yun lang, based on experience, do not expect a toyota/honda like service with isuzu hehe. I have experience in pasig and marcos hiway, parehong parang talyer hehehe. Trick is to befriend the service people, same with any casa. Good luck on your purchase.

    I'm not really sure brother. but looking at the 4jj1 engine and the 4jk1 engine of both the Dmax LS and Dmax LT, parang parehong pareho nga. The Mux however has a black valve cover.

    One thing different, and I hate now is that the 4jk1 in the Mux has a relocated oil filter. Yung sa 4jk1 kasi ng base model dmax (Non vgs), nasa ibabaw ang oil filter. In the Mux, you have to lift the truck and reach underneath. Nasa bandang front end ng engine...bummer.

    Good observations on the engine. About the oil much better nasa bottom ang filter. All the metals lalamunin ng filter. Not sure if they relocated the oil pump in conjunctiom with the relocated oil filter.

    Regarding the location of the oil. Thanks for the info...good to know. Baka ganun nga ang purpose nila that's why they relocated.

    I'm doin my PMS in isuzu imus and so far i do not have any issues. I like it there since you can get up close and watch them do the maintenance of your car. I know isuzu alabang and imus are both under Ayala group so they may do the same thing there in Alabang.

    when you say up close sir nasa harap ka ng unit mo mismo sir? sa isuzu pasig kasi pinagbabawal customers sa service bay. sa lounge ka lang sisilip. i prefer seeing the servicing and getting to talk to the mechanics.

    with regards to the REAR MONITOR nasa REMOTE control niya ang adjustment. Just click the DIMMER button. Sa HU whether DAY or NIGHT pwede mo pa rin ma adjust ang brightness. Go to set-up then choose the VIDEO andon na po ang Brightness settings starting from 0 onwards

    For those na nakakuha ng units for the past 2 months, may nakuha ba kayong additional freebies besides from standard tools, mats and tint (visor only).

    No additional freebies for me. In fact I still paid for .5% DI. Pero in 2 days nakuha ko na unit ko after making a DP. .5% DI only translated to 5k pesos anyway. :P

    I got mine last week. Free mats, tint (visor only), car cover, umbrella, tools, early warning device. I paid no DI, it was a bank PO. Bank coordinated with dealer.

    I take my word back regarding the sound system. it was good and surround. the kids love it!

    Sa dmax meron silang discount promo. Sa mux wala talaga kasi daw bago pa. Ang kapal , eh mag iisang taon na ang mux. Baka ang ibig nilang sabihin sa bagong model eh since wala naman talaga silang new item/model to sell, mux na ang latest.

    Worse, buyer pa magbabayad ng LTO registration na tutulugan lang nila. Ang kapal talaga.

    Wait for the competitions to arrive, Isuzu might change their mind with regards the meager discounts since this is really a crowded and cut-throat competition segment to be competing in.

    ============

    On a positive note, in Bangkok, MU-X is being used as part of the airport limo service. I managed to ride one. The unit I rode already had 1xx,xxx kms! Yet it seems fresh, felt comfortable and did not have the usual diesel judder.

    ============

    I actually like the LS variant since I'm a sucker for entry level variants-complete with their unpainted grille, mirror, door handle, etc. But this time around, Isuzu should have omitted the the fancy touchscreen dvd HU and focus on the basics like including a rear wiper and the a/c recirculation.
