And then sometime last month, i saw a post from Isuzu Philippines facebook account from a sales agent advertising that he has 1 unit readily available for cash purchase. I called this agent up but then when I said i am already paying the unit even without inspecting it and would get it from the dealership the day after, his tune suddenly changed. So I called him a joke, a clown, a scam. exactly 1 week after, he came calling back telling me there was now 1 unit available and this time around he was really true that a unit is available. He called on Friday, I paid on that same Friday and I got the unit the following day,Saturday. What happened to their waiting list? I was lucky, YES. But what about those who made their reservations?
Bro, congrats for you new ride!

Did you have to pay extra on top of the selling price and standard fees to get the unit ahead of existing queue?

    ?
*ano727 - No extra charge. Feeling ko nga lang tinaga ako sa comprehensive insurance which they priced at 42,000 (with Fortuitous events cover). Sinubukan kong tumawad sa insurance, i failed.

Anung insurance po yung 30K at ano pong unit price? BPI comprehensive insurance is around 3% of market value including acts of nature.
    For a MU-X LS-A 4x2 AT with a price tag of 1.358M 40,740 po ang comprehensive insurance.

Better nga kung ang basis for comparison lang is yung premium vs unit price (2.4% ni Mapfre vs 3% ni BPI) although madaming factors na pwedeng magdetermine ng premium like coverage, deductible or participation fee, and other warranties, endorsements, and clauses.
Marami akong nababasang positive feedback regarding Mapfre at malaking edge ni Mapfre kung cheaper sya kasi to a common motorist yun lang ang nagiisang deciding factor.

My bank called me last week to tell me that my agent dealer's immediate supervisor refused an earlier agreed DI insisting on a higher DI after I sealed the deal with the bank. I think I'll just forfeit the reservation fee (refundable naman), its really frustrating na matapos mo makipaghaggle sa pagkadaming banks they will simply change the tune dahil hot item ang mux. Palabra just went to the dogs. I think I'll just wait for the Everest.

Good thing di ka kumagat sa garapal na mga empleyadong yan.
Anyway, based on the numerous MU-X on the road, mukhang supply will normalize in a few months. Most probably ok na yan next year lalu na pag anjan na all new Everest, Fortuner, and MS. Sigurado Isuzu naman ang hahabol sa mga buyers makabenta lang kahit malaki discount.

Actually even pag lumabas ang everest ganon din mangyayari. Remeber the ranger. May d.i. yun at masmalaki pa. It is best to get vehicle when it is not hot anymore

Para naman kasi maubusan ng Mux yun ibang Pinoy Kaya ganyan na Lang take advantage mga salesmen. Change your perspective, it's just a DMax without the bed but instead an extended roof.

I was able to test drive this and it's so light to drive. The reason for this, the test drive unit has 16" rims. Pag nag-17" dyan bibigat ang manibela Nyan and maybe at par with the regular Monteros and Fortuners

Like anything new, it has it's novelty but when it gets older in the market like for say 2 years, definitely maiinis ka na nagpaloko sa mga agents, tapos you see on the roads people are driving the new Everests and Fortuners.

Ang appeal ng Isuzu SUV is like the Jimny, no non-sense workhorse na talagang matibay sa kalsada.

Isuzu models are best bought more than a year after its release coz you're buying it based on reliability not because it's new. Wake up Hindi sya ganun ka appealing physically when the Everests and Fortuners arrive. This car is best bought on Sale

This is very true, kahit sa second hand market, grabe ang depresciation gap ng brand new sa 2nd hand resale, peor ang kagandahan sa Isuzu, yung floor price ay mataas pa rin compared sa iba kahit pa old models na. Reliability ang dalang pangalan ng Isuzu.

I really wouldn't care if I see new Fort/MS/Everest on the roads more than the mu-X, edi mas konti lang kapareha mo :P

IMO the Everest isn't that appealing too, from the side looks like the previous gen Santa Fe, boring rear. And for the price, the mu-X is hard to beat in terms of value for money. Alam mo naman na no non sense workhorse eh, you should know what to expect from it. Exterior wise ang ganda daw ng iba, pero bare naman pala.

Change our perspective? We know what we are buying. We know our needs and priorities more than anyone else, 6 months na samin and still not a single regret with the purchase. What's a good alternative then?

Very well said sir! Super ganda daw ng papararating na all new everest/fort/monty eh hndi nman swak s budget mo. Besides di rin naman pahuhuli ang mu x sa mga feutures eh. Passive keyless entry, push button start/stop, ABS, VGS, rear/front disc brakes, electronic stability/traction control system, auto climate control, 6-way electronic driver seat adjust, GPS, built in roof-mounted dvd monitor for the 2nd/3rd row seats, spacious interior, leather seats. and fuel economy. For the price of 1.358M its the best bang for buck in its class!

*minicarph: If it is not too much to ask sir/ma'am, ano po ang nabili niyo na car recently na within the category ng Mu-X or kung hindi pa ho kayo nakabili, ano ang inyong bibilhin?

What I'm saying is Isuzu might probably do a Montero. Nun una VGT, then nag release ng non-VGT to cuthroat the competition. Mitsubishi is known to offer the same car for more than 10 years. I think Isuzu too with the Crosswind lol

Kapag lumabas na ang new Forts and Everests and eating up the big market pie coz these are also companies with big Marketing bdgets, itong artificial line or demand that Isuzu is engaging in will only get a lot more money from sa mga nauna buyers. Look at what happened to Alterra, dati ganyan din yan nun Ina mas mahal pa sa fort or Santa Fe. Si-nale din nun huli
