The 4JJ1-TC is a DOHC 16V 3.0L common rail direct injection engine with turbo and intercooler which replaced the 4JH1 in the Holden Rodeo and later Holden Colorado. Stock power was 146 hp (107 kW) and 294N·m
The 4JJ1-TCX is a DOHC 16V 3.0L common rail direct injection engine with VGS-turbo and intercooler. Stock power was 163hp (120kW) and 360N·m for Manual transmission/ 333N·m for Automatic transmission and up to 177hp and 380N·m later.

It says here pag AT 177hp tama ho ba?

Nope, both A/T and M/T ay 177PS 380NM for the global 3.0 VGS. Yung 163PS/360NM was fitted on the previous gen. D-Max/mu-7. Iba po yung 3.0 VGS na inooffer satin.

Being all new, I doubt if anyone can give you first hand info on the 3.0. The 2.5 tho, is a very capable suv. Torque curve is flat at 320Nm starting 1800rpm up to around 3000rpm, afterwards you still have around 280nm going down. As an owner, I can say this is believable.

I owned a strada vgt, and I'd take the mux any time of the day because of this flat torque curve which makes it very drive-able. See, the strada vgt is only good on paper. On paper the strada makes at 178hp and 350Nm. Most do not realize that the 350Nm torque comes in very late at 3500rpm. At 2000rpm, its only making 250Nm...at 2500rpm it makes 300Nm. This makes it very anemic below 2000rpm.

Fuel consumption is yet to be seen in actual. Cruising at 100kph, I can get 15 km/l on my Mux AT. At 80kph cruising I get 17 km/l.

Now comparing the 3.0 and the 2.5...if you are a power freak, just get the 3.0. Im sure fuel economy will not hurt that much being an isuzu.

Sir thanks for the reply actually i have test driven the 2.5 LS -AT and if anyone had been here in cebu going to TOPS BUSAY is one steep of a climb w/ 2 adults as my passenger it still was like effortless so i was surprised bec i wasnt expecting that much beforehand bec in the papers it seems unimpressive. I drove it for speed in SRP it was ok too but since the last 2 days there was this new 3.0 launching that started my confusion i initially told my agent that ill get the 3.0 then yesterday i told him na tuloy ako sa 2.5 then he suggested to me that by monday it could be better that i make my mind

Yung price difference kasi barya nalang yun eh. Yan ang nagpahirap sa decision making ng customers hehe. Pero if I were you, settle for the 3.0 bro. That will be my choice if given one. Just saying kung hindi ka makapaghintay, the 2.5 is a good one too. Yun lang if you want more than enough power...3.0 it is!

I think some bumpers are compatible with the airbags. Most knockoffs arent.

After dropping the bomb on the price of the 3.0, they should discount the 2.5 to around 1.3. Undercut the competition like what Mitsu did a few years ago. If you don't have a class-leading product, at least have the most value-for-money one, which in many people's opinions is the better choice. Besides, paper-specs lang namang panlaban ng mga bagong Ford and Chevy, real-world performance and reliability is what matters.

You cant suddenly drop the price. The price drop will cause havoc among the recent buyer.

Of course you won't drop it just like that. Ease it in slowly through discounts or accessory packages. I think Isuzu is doing it already, latest I heard is 30k discount on the 4x2 LS-A which drops it to 1.328M. That's from 10-20k discount last month, and prior to the Everest launch was sticker price plus DI.
