Sorry for my ignorance, what is a GS? Anyhow, when you are in that stage do you feel a slight rumble from the exhaust? Sa SF3 namin it somehow reverberates in the rear of the cabin, not offensive naman yung shake, but you will feel some turbulence like happening underneath. If I describe it is like a mini generator or mini air pump na mas silent or muffled.

Hi guys! Planning to get either 2013 Sta Fe 4x2 or a Toyota RAV4 next week on a cash basis. Does anyone here knows how much is the discount and freebies? Also, I'm particularly interested sa insurance. Please PM me if you have any idea about my queries! Thanks

I'm actually considering these two vehicles as well but will be buying not next week, but within the next three months or so. I hope you can also pm me on details regarding these two vehicles.

In line with this, what are the differences between KDM and PHDM models, and what are the prevailing prices for these? To be honest, if I'll be considering this vehicle, I can probably afford only the lower-end 2WD variants. Thanks again!

Insurance depends on the cars cost and whether your participation is high (10k) or low (3k). Higher participation, lower insurance, mga 40k... lower participation, higher insurance mga 50-60k. Discounts around 20-30k depende sa casa.

I suggest running through the threads as this was part of the discussion from previous. Better if you visit the local Hyundai and the grey market shop like Pitstop. A lot of people have their own needs and wants, preferences, which only you can truly decide which best fits you. Either ways you won't get disappointed with the new Santa Fe. So far I am very happy with our KDM unit, and probably most if not all the owners in this thread is happy with theirs.

Brought my sf3 yesterday for 1k km PMS. Was caught off guard didn't know na change oil na agad. Cost me 4k. Opted for a semi synthetic oil muna, then sa 3rd month check up na lang start nung fully synthetic. What's a good brand for fully synthetic oil? I used to use Motul for my previous car, focus tdci. Ok din ba yun Motul for the crdi engine ng sf3? TIA

Got 25k discount from Global, look for ms Bernadette. Re insurance, used to have Chartis insurance for my focus. Based on my experience ang bilis ng claim sa kanila when my car doors were scraped by an inconsiderate taxi (and sped off) I asked for doors replacement na lang, pumayag naman. (NOTE: I'm not affiliated with Chartis) right now di sila ang insurance ko dahil bank financing.

As for the freebies, free vcool tint (maganda naman, though not their premium line) and the usual LTO stuff

What dealer was this? In my case, the dealer did not give me an option to use full or semi synthetic oil. Sabi nung SA ko, FS na daw ang prescribed ng HARI so I should use FS. I would have preferred to use SS na changed every 5K rather than FS na every 10K. In terms of cost, the SS is less than 50% that of FS, so oil changes will still turn out cheaper even if it is changed 2x as often.

*datc. You are right. May letter galing sa HARI na lahat ng Crdi engine should use the HGMO Full synthetic.. Ako then, mas prefer ko na mag SEMI-SYNTHETIC every 5kms kaysa 10Kms na full synthetic.

I personally think this is a ploy by HARI to increase revenue. You can actually use semi synthetic oil. Someone please correct me if I am wrong and FS is actually beneficial and necessary for the Sta Fe.

Hmmm.. Well I guess this maybe true. In my opinion, running fully synthetic adds greater running efficiency with our engines but with an added cost. I run Repsol FS for my peace of mind, my take on it is an efficiently good running engine (long term) will probably yield less replacement parts ergo less expense. I also do see the benefit of running SS for the reason of lower running cost and that Diesel engines tend to get its oil dirty early-on in comparison to gas engines. Then again, it will be the option of the consumer which works best while meeting the required oil for proper running as prescribed by the manufacturer.
