*imperialv and other Sta Fe Gen3 owners:
Has anyone noticed the recirculating button for our aircon vents opening (i.e., the light going off) by itself. This has been observed by several Gen 3 owners from Hyundai Marcos Hiway.
Normally this button is lit (blue light), thus no outside air enters our vehicles. We noticed that the button goes off (by itself) and outside air is vented into our vehicles.
Hindi dapat ito mag-off unless we put it off. Anyway we have requested the service department and customer relations officer of Marcos Hiway to report it to HARI.![]()
Pag naka auto mode yung aircon, mag-auto off yung recirculating button once na-achieve na niya yung desired cabin temp to allow fresh air in to prevent the cabin air becoming stale. This I think is part of the clean air funtion ng SF3. I just made my impression from the implied info on our manuals. If you want to turn off this feature, use manual mode by adjusting the fan knob.

Thanks bijreyesmd.... I did that already, i.e., adjusting the fan knob....unfortunately nag o-off pa rin sya. If this is part of the clean air function......I guess the koreans may have been in error beacause most of the time instead of introducing clean air we will be getting polluted and foul smelling air, especially if we are trailing a garbage truck or passing by a stinking canal or dumpsite. Also in the other cars, say the sonata, fortuner, montero, tucson, etc., this button behaves as what the drivers wishes it to behave. Just my two cents.![]()
Sa Tucson napapansin ko bigla sya nag-ooff kapag lumipat ako from 21*C to 23*c or 24*C.

Everytime mo patayin ang engine, magre-set uli auto climate so mag-auto off uli siya. Solution lang is to go to manual immediately. Once naka manual, di na mag-auto off unless you turn off the engine

Bro, normal function ng auto climate control natin yung auto off ng air intake (recirculating button). I reviewed our manuals and apparently once you push the autoclimate button, it controls everything from fan speed, air intake, AC, etc. It adjusts them automatically to maximize the sysytem. Also, Hyundai advocates that we use fresh air (air intake off) to prevent sleepiness and drowsiness during driving. I guess hindi nila alam ang climate natin dito sa Philippines, hehe.
Anyway, in case mag-auto off siya, just turn it on again and it will disable this feature. However, you have to do that everytime you start your car as it is the default setting anytime you turn on the airconditioning. Cheers
