Car will be available by sat. but probably will get it by next week n lang. Will review warranty details as you pointed out. Strange dahil i have purchase a couple of vehicles already this is my first time i heard that by doing wax treatment/paint sealant will void warranty - dapat nga encourage nila yang mga paint protection para wala masyadong magclaim ng paint warranty.
Baka siguro na alter kasi yung paint dahil sa additive, mahirap sigurong habulin yung color texture or whatever you call it.. Ask mo rin dun sa undercoat. It would be funny if they say it will void eh sila nga eh they are offering such.
Tumawag na ako sa Caltex 3k 3M undercoat, kay autobisyo mahal eh mga 4.4k.
My plates are already available... as per Rose of Pitstop... not bad..less than 3 month of no plate... i'll pick it up after xmas... ma traffic going to QC nowadays.
Im not sure if this is true pero a friend of mine said na since dadagdagan yung number sa plates ang gagawin is on your next registration isusurender mo yung lumang plate para mapalitan ng bago. this is what they did daw kasi nung 1979 nung ginawang 3 letters and 3 numbers yung plates
this could be possible... so after 3 years pa..kasi.. 3 years ang registration for new cars? hehehehhehe. but seriously..we dont know pa how it will go with newly acquired cars / releasing of old plates until such time that production of the new plates come out..feeling ko...it will take a year pa just to produce the new plate design for the new acquired vehicles of 2013.
But i am also okay with my plates..kasi...personalized plate naman.. 3 letter 2 numbers..so, i am not sure how that will change as well...difference lang is the one way screw.... bar code..and region of the plate.
From Edsa take Kamias heading Katipunan, the Caltex Station is at the corner Kamias and Anonas. It takes half day to get this done so I suggest going there early like 7am. Here is their number 9226530. Try to google map it. I am not sure if you can turn left to Kamias from the intersection of Edsa / Kamias. Note that you should not take the ramp when you reach GMA keep right where the bus lane is, there is a lane for private vehicle near the foot of the ramp. Edsa/Kamias inter section is on the 2nd intersection from the foot of the ramp.
You might want to also try calling other Caltex branches near you, they might offer the same service.
Mukhang malabo pa ang new format ng plate.. Buti nakuha mo na.. :-)
After spending 2 months in the Gobi desert, I was finally able to get my hands on the new Santa Fe. Those 2 months I spent reading what I could gather from the internet about the SF. I probably read most of the reviews and e-brochures the e-world has to offer.
Is the SF good? No, it is not good…it’s awesome.
Is it fast? No, it is not fast…it flies. Come December 25 I woke up early hoping to find a lonely stretch of road. I had to drive for almost 40km towards Davao Oriental before I found the spot. It was a straight road all to myself. The e-brochure says it can do 190km/h. So I floored the accelerator and the rpm just went straight to 3800 and everything behind me became a blur as I found myself pushed to the seat. The speedo started rapidly climbing to 180km/h then stopped a bit and slowly inched itself to 190km/h. It seems to be speed-limited because I can feel the engine has got power to give. It does 100km/h at 1800rpm and 120km/h at 2000rpm.
Does it look alright? No, it does not look alright…it attracts you. It does not look too masculine and got just enough crease to make it ***y. The automatic folding of the side mirror and its welcoming light makes you want to play with it. The cornering light is a welcome aid during night driving. Did I forget the LED “eyebrow” of the headlight which you can turn on during daytime driving? It makes SF a head-turner.
Is the ride comfortable? No, it is not comfortable…it makes you feel you are in a luxury sedan. Climate control is very good with attention given to the comfort of the passengers The outside noise is muffled and sound like a rolling thunder coming from afar. It is very stable and seems to stick to the road. The instrumentation is well laid and pleasing to the eyes. I particularly love the Bluetooth capability and the option to select the steering preference from comfy to normal to sport. The leg room for the 3rd row passengers can be increased by moving the 2nd row seat forward and they even have A/C vent of their own.
Is the fuel consumption acceptable? The e-brochure says it can do 13.5km/li city-highway driving. I am currently getting 11.9km/li with almost 2000km in the odometer.
This is one Santa I will be keeping company this holiday season.

I test drove a Gen3 Sta. Fe this morning albeit for less than 3 kms. But even with that short distance, I would say the experience is now helping me a lot in deciding on which car to get...![]()
