Pero yung accent since relatively new and untested puro sira at parts are failing every now and then. Unti unti narin naglalabasan ibang problema. Pati Aircon compressor ko, central lock and even the f$$kin radio bumigay na.
Yesterday i talked to the service manager and mabait naman kausap. Nagpatulong narin ako dun sa isang may ari ng Hyundai erod to expedite the repairs

Yung kausap ko ngang service manager aminado na pag newly released model or all new wala pa sila ganung pyesa. Lalung lalu na yung ecu. Mga after 3 years pa daw tsaka ma normalize ang supply nila. Kaya dun sa mga excited na bumili ng all new santa fe.... Goodluck nalang

look like ganyan talaga kakahinatnan niyan.

judging from the situation, hyundai korea is busy manufacturing vehicles and not spare parts, yung parts supply nila is only good for dun sa vehicle assembly lines nila. Since the demand for hyundai vehicles skyrocketed, they only concentrate on new vehicle sales, aftersales support be damned...

Tama yung 3 years normalization na sinasabi mo. Yung 2009 Tucson ng sister ko, more than 1 month nila hinintay yung parts ng aircon bago narepair nito lang March.

    *jonybern,
Amen bro! I'm not like that kasi inaantay ko muna ang all new model na magka track record na dito sa Pinas, minimum at least 2 years. By that time may mga feedback na kung ok ba itong model or may mga glitches pa. Kasi ang usual owners nito would not bother to sue them. Eh kung sa high priced vehicles nila gagawin ito naku their owners would make HARI's life living hell.
May nabalitaan nga ako genesis coupe na judge ata ang may ari, nasira aircon after a few days and palit agad..... Hindi aircon ang pinalitan kungdi buong kotse! Eh sa ating mga normal citizens? Asa pa tayo.

i'm so very disappointed sa HARI after reading this thread.

to think i just bought my new Accent 2012 last Dec 2011.

nanghihinayang ako sana nakita ko na tong thread na to before para hnd ko na tinuloy pagbili sa hyundai binan laguna.

and now maybe sooner or later maranasan ko na din itong mga difficulties na mga nababasa ko.

so far okay pa naman performance ng accent ko i'll continue observing and will update you guys soon.

    fingers crossed!

Same costumers lang nman and owners as well.

Like they say, its more fun in the Philippines

HI, FYI hundai e.rod is sister company of union motors paco according to my agent, because my sister-in-law just recently bought accent and windshield broke suddenly. Dont know if Hyundai e.rod has any relation with HARI. Currently, i have long battle with UNION MOTORS. Good luck sa atin!

Richard gets more Lee-way January 5,2011

THE biggest open secret in the motoring industry has finally been confirmed.

Elizabeth Lee of Universal Motors issued a statement Monday admitting that the distributors of Chevrolet, Hyundai and Volvo “which are owned by the same family” have left the Lee-led Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines.

What the charming Campi president did not say is that the “same family” refers to her uncle Richard Lee, who parted ways, apparently bitterly, with the rest of the Lees in mid-2010 “to pursue personal interests.”

Those interests, it is now clear, include not only building up three brand distributors that will not only compete with his sibling’s Universal Motors Corp., but also establishing an industry association outside of Campi.

And, to rub salt on the family injury, Richard Lee has been showering an eye-popping package on his new president of Hyundai dealership, Fe Agudo.

Not only did Lee give Agudo a bullet-profit Chevrolet Suburban for her daily drive, Lee also provided Agudo free housing in Dasmariñas Village.

The Agudo house is said to be even bigger than the house that Richard Lee built for his Chinese wife.

i wonder if Hyundai head office in Korea knows about this matter. seems like HARI doesn't really care about their image.

I have been using Vpower and Blaze all the way since I got the unit. Had 7 tankfuls to-date.

Q Avenue Customer service had called me today and expressed the following to resolve this matter:

    1. They will test drive the unit at NLEX and check for faulty/defects
    2. They ordered a new ECU for replacement as agreed by Q Avenue and HARI

    My demands:

    1. Since they will be using my car to test drive and diagnose for defects in the ECM (Considering that its brand new), i don't think it's fair for the customer. Why? It's brand new. Why would the ECM fail at this point?

    2. They are not showing any interest in replacing my unit. (We'll see about that)

    3. If I give in and let them change my ECU, what guarantee can i get that it won't bug down on me? Knocking is still evident even when they upgraded the ECM with this so called "Euro 2".

Honestly, i am very patient and understanding person. Not picky or "Maselan" but Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. and Quezon Avenue are both not willing to replace this defective unit. Even if it's the ECM/ECU is at fault, as a "VALUED CUSTOMER" they should willingly offer this alternative.

TO HYUNDAI ASIA RESOURCES, INC & HYUNDAI QUEZON AVENUE

Replace my unit with a non-defective one and we're all good. Simply it is not acceptable to get my "NEW" Accent repaired for defects.

just a suggestion, can u try using pure gasoline (wag yung E10) fuel?

the thing is, even if they replace yours with a brand new unit, it will still knock. no use unless you either pick other kinds like elantra or tucson

The question is - why bother?

Using premium fuel (yung walang halong ethanol) defeats the purpose of buying a car na dapat matipid sa gas.

Plus the fact that the Elantra, Tucson, and Sonata will run fine on the lowest grade fuel does not help the accent's case.

F- first to offer customer with a defective vehicle and parts waiting for a couple of months
M- most incompetent mechanics and service advisors
    O- only in the Philippines
B- best at tricking the customers on its 5 year warranty, with ridiculous pms costs and hidden charges to recoup on its warranty.
