    *easy,
Mas malala pa pala yung condition ng accent mo. Kaya ako i haven't really gone out of town on mine. Pang short drives lang within metro Manila. Natawa ako dun sa comment ng technician na hindi pwede malubak ang accent hahahahaahahhahahaha. Which goes to show kung gaano katanga mga so called "technician" ng Hyundai. dapat sinabi mo na show me a road na walang lubak dito sa metro Manila and bibigyan kita ng 1 million.

    Hi All:

First off, thank you TheBehavedDriver for taking the initiative to open a thread like this one. I was about to get myself a Hyundai Accent until I came across this. Thank God, otherwise I too could have been a victim of a low quality cars of HARI. Shame on them!

Do you guys have any updates with this case? Does HARI done any actions at all? We should make this known to the PUBLIC thru media to help future buyers from getting into "A state of extreme ruin and misfortune".

Nice to hear about that good development bro....

Maybe too early to ask, but would you consider buying another Hyundai in the future?

(Ako siguro, after my limited experiences with Starex Gen3 and the GS, baka next van namin in 2.5 years' time, Starex pa ulit)...

I'm just wondering, why hasn't any of our local automotive journalist or magazine written anything about tlhe Hyundai accent issue ork even the innova d4d problems before. Makes you wonder if they are truly are " motoring journalist."

^ in my honest opinion, don't take this "motoring journalists" seriously. lahat talaga ng reviews nila eh positive or good or remarkable, eh brand new yun tsikot eh. bagong salta lang sa'tin if not bagong launch lang internationally. how can you really review a brand new car if the car itself hasn't been in the road for too long. syempre, pag brand new it will perform well.

there are many motoring journalists here who are also forumers: if you really want to feel them alamin mo mga tsikot nila, ang alam ko mga tsikot nila may entry level sedans and suvs and then they're reviewing top notch cars na they too dont' even buy. lalo lang nagmamahal ang presyo ng tsikot dito sa Pilipinas, bec ang dealers kailangan mag-budget na pambayad sa kanila, sa magazine nila, pampakain sa product launching etc etc.

my best gauge for review is youtube. mas maganda if you find Europeans and Americans reviewing their own cars with their own videos. pansin ko kung hindi ganun ka-biased ang mga nationalities na ito even if they find something negative with their own cars.

    ---

be smart and be practical. the US already experienced financial meltdown, Europe happening as we speak, tayo na sunod (asia) it's inevitable. buying untested new cars today napaka-delikado lalo na pag tinamaan tayo ng financial crisis at nasa kalagitnaan ka pa lang ng paghuhulog sa tsikot mo. with what I'm seeing in the next two years, ang mga masusuwerte eh yun hindi bibili ng bago car ngaun unless its cash or those who bought adventures and montero and innova diesels. sigurado ang mga cashflow ng mga ito. napakasakit yun bibili ng mga gasoline cars ngaun be it a sedan and SUV, dahil ang gasolina will definitely go P75 in the next two years. swerte na siguro yun mga bumili ng accent, rio, i10, picanto kasi mag-survive sila. in these times, dapat ang isipin eh a car is just point A to B and depende na sa iyo kung hanggang saan comfort gusto mo. if an accent A/T entry-level is good enough, then good. pero yun bibile ng bago Sta Fe, better pray that you will have a windfall of money in the next years

Kung magkakaroon ako ng hyundai mukhang sa pitstop or hancars ako bibili. Mas mukhang mas may alam sila sa producto nila kaysa sa hari na official philippine distributor pa naman. Imagine official distributor palpak!

Tama ka dyan. Hindi ko nga alam na palpak sila. My very first brand new Hyundai vehicle sa Pitstop ko binili. Last year sumubok ako sa Hari naman pero hari ng sablay pala.

Hancars parehas rin ng Pitstop na 5 years warranty pero mas marami silang authorized service center, ka-partner nila Sunny Motors Group (Hyundai Quezon Ave, Commonwealth, Santiago City, Cabanatuan) at Autohub Group (Hyundai Greenhills at Global City Hub). Meron din silang authorized service centers na hindi HARI dealers (Amianan Motors sa La Union, meron din doon sa Pampanga pero I forgot the name, and Pitstop)

    Bro cvt,
Sad to say but......yes i would still buy Hyundai in the future. Sana nga lang Hari would shape up. Magaganda kasi mga releases ng Hyundai lately and its engines are among the best in class. plus the exclusivity na kokonti lang kayo sa daan. Proof of this is lahat ng rides ko ngayon Hyundai lang. Pero kung bibili ako in the future matagal tagal pa dahil hahayaan ko muna iba maging Guinea pigs sa new releases nila bago ako sasabak. Learned my lesson na. Never buy anything newly released, and wait for reviews.
Yung Starex talaga ang reason kaya bilib ako sa Hyundai. my dad had the very first ones last 1998. Ako naman got the gen 3 mid 2000's and the Gs last 2010. Pag lumabas ang bagong starex I'll definitely get one.....after a year waiting for reviews from owners of course hehehe.

Same thought here Bratski about getting new release car hindi lang sa Hyundai but same with other brand. I got my SF MY2009 na pero 2006 palang nag rereview na or nagmamatyag. Very less ang ang bad comment about the engine (VGT) at madalas sa ibang small parts lang kaya I jump in na sa Hyundai. If the 3G SF will arrive same parin ang gagawin ko, observe muna

Actually, for me one of the best models to get when it comes to buying a new car would always be the "mid life" updates upon release. The funky problems from the first releases are usually ironed out and you're still guaranteed at least another two to three years before they release a newer (or all new) model.

WAS looking forward to owning a hyundai vehicle. been to a showroom. liked the eon. then after 2 days decided to buy an i10. then seen an accent. like it very much. now searched here in tsikot. I said I WAS LOOKING FORWARD . . . but not anymore. Just read up to page 3 then clicked the last button.

HYUNDAI . . . YOU HAVE JUST LOST A CLIENT HERE.

    WILL BUY A VIOS INSTEAD.

So, did you read about the ECU update that fixes the knocking issues? I know the Accent is still a riskier car to own than the boring-but-reliable Vios, but it's also a better car.

Ang bagsik naman ng pagkaka-post mo, bro...

If you really don't like the Accent,- then what about the Eon and the i10, which you were eyeing earlier?

Or, go upsize for the Elantra.

All of these are value-for-money vehicles....
