the Kia Carens CRDi LX M/T is currently priced at P1.135M which is quite expensive for a low-end variant while the 2009 Hyundai Tucson CRDi 4x2 A/T's current price is only at P1.118M

from the two, the Hyundai Tucson is indeed worth it unless you really really need the additional two seats which the carens can offer in lieu of the airbag & ABS-EBD. it also has a low ground clearance which is not good in going over speed bumps/humps and "moon craters" present on our roads.

^^^ i totally agree! love your own.

ganda talaga ng white. inoffer nila sa amin ang black para daw mapadali ang delivery pero we insisted on the white color so we waited a bit longer. worth it yung wait kasi ganda talaga ng white. bihira lang ang white sa tucson because mostly ay either black, aqua silver or new mild silver ang inoorder.

mag white ka na rin *harold13

ok din naman ang black pero ang hirap lang ng maintenance. congrats on your upcoming purchase! kelan darating ang unit at what variant ang kunin niyo?

theyre going to test drive this week the CRDi. una gas sana pero matagal pa kaya they decided to get a diesel instead. nagtitipid din for long term use ng crudo. hehe. they makukuha na agad because may stock on hand na sila kaagad for diesel.

meron ngang available stocks yung CRDi variant. naubos na daw kasi lahat ng CVVT variant na dumating last month kaya nagoorder na naman sila. what i heard is darating na daw by 2nd week of November yung mga new CVVT stocks from Korea. malapitlapit na rin yung 2nd week. hehe. inquire ka nalang sa SA mo.

CRDi din yung test drive unit ko kasi available immediately yung unit if diesel kunin namin. pero we opted for the gas unit so we waited a bit longer.

btw, i heard this tip from a tsikoteer: dapat MD ang letters ng conduction sticker mo para may assurance ka na fresh yung unit na makukuha mo. MC kasi daw yung previous letters so i assume na ME na ang kasunod after MD.

yup, 2nd or 3rd week daw. pero mag CRDi na lang para mas sulit sir.hehe.
what made you decide mag Gas variant sir?

our main reason for choosing the gas variant is the price. hehe
who can resist? price is almost at par with sedans. our other choice before was a PW Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6V but we chose the Tucson over it because we think that an SUV is a much more practical choice. the family also decided to get the gas variant because of the diesel impurities which we think could harm the engine in the long run. that's just our opinion though.

getting either a CRDi or a CVVT variant does not make it any less good. it is still the same Tucson but with a different engine and tranny. good luck on your test drive this week! congrats in advance for your upcoming purchase! post kaagad ng pics.
