    well.. more than 50% of gas consumption of the world is consumed by the US. Maybe people in the US should stop using huge engines to contribute to the world's fresh air. Young men are dying in Iraq because of oil. Also Bush should honor the Kyoto protocol to cut the emmission of USA.

    thanks po for the reply! ok pala consumption just like what's stated in fueleconomy.gov. think i'll get the CVVT instead of the CRDI considering the 130k price difference

    Hi Surg,

    After 3 visits of trial-and-error by Hyundai ERod, they just came to a conclusion that the Fuel-Knock that i was having was the cause of a dirty fuel (lame excuse). they've advised me to use BLAZE (96 Octane) instead of Xtra Unleaded. Now i'm suffering the 38.++ price of the Blaze. Pinging sound on the engine though didn't come back, but power hasn't improved. I'm still running 6-6.5Km/L on a city driving. I'm still listening to the problem coz i'm going Xtra Unleaded again after i drain my 3rd full-tank of Blaze. I'll surely be back on the service department after this, filed a full-refund on my vehicle already as we are covered by the Philippine Lemon Law. Still on the process on insisting.

    Please don't get me wrong everyone, i love my tuc even without the safety features. It's just that it's been a pain in my back since this fuel-knock came knocking.

    For those who are interested in buying the Tuc, get the CRDi for A/T. For the Manual, get the Kia Sorento. Same price lang.

    Ben

    btw for the tuc CVVT gas guys, is everyone using xtra Unleaded or the 93+ octane-rating gasoline? If yes, is the fuel-knock happening to any of you?

    hey guys! check out these sites:epinions.com,motortrend.com,nctd.com. all of the consumer reviews abt the tuc on these sites claimed that it is a gaz guzzler, averaging only 16-18 mpg city and 20 mpg hway! only the EPA review on fueleconomy.gov claimed that it run 22 mpg city and 27 mpg hway

    You can run 22 mpg if you follow the Gas Mileage Tips and Why Your MPG Will Vary http://fueleconomy.gov The manufacturer will tell you its car's mpg and that's it, but drivers sometimes forget to understand that there are factors that would lessen the car's mpg: aircon, radio, ipod, traffic...etc.

    [QUOTE=benleyuy;790825]Hi Surg,

    ...we are covered by the Philippine Lemon Law.

    Ano ang content nang law na to? Can it also apply to anything? I am just upset that when you buy appliances there, the distributor needs to open and test there if it is functional. It is like "No exchange, No Return Policy".
    Thank you.

    Mileage for my diesel tucson. paranaque - vigan - paranaque. 990 km / 80 liters. For a mileage of about 12.37 km / liter. Mixed caltex and shell. By the way I just filled the gas tank until the pump stops. So a range of 11 - 12 km highway driving should be an ok estimate, i think.

    If you're interested to buy a HYUNDAI e try nyo contact si Sir LUI. Ok sya, hindi sya ang agent namin sa STAREX namin pero he is helping us to have our problematic STAREX fix by HARI.

    It varies according to my "keeper", sometimes 10 km/L but most of the time 11-12. He only drives around the corner, SM Southmall, Alabang Town Center with everyting running. I also drive the same places when I am home and get varies result.
    I hope this will help.

    i own a 2 1/2 yr old 2wd crdi AT Tucson. Dati nung wala pa itong rain visor, i was averaging about 12++km/liter using korean diesel. Dito sa pinas, 9.6km/liter ang average sa city driving at waldas mode. During the Funrun of our Alabang group, I was able to get a very good 10.6km/lit , mixed mountain (mas marami nito)and flatland drive with , aircon always on, *tipid mode driving lang. BTW, shell diesoline ultra lang ang ginagamit ko dito sa atin.
