Hyundai ACCENT Hatch CRDI 1.6

I Already got my Accent Hatch MT Light Blue for almost 1 week na... So Far So good, naka 1000km na ako agad..Smooth Driving... malakas ang hatak. ang nakakatakot lng masyado syang lowered, need to change my mugs and tires para tumaas ng kahit unti.
Tanung Lang po Ulit, Kelangan ko ba ipa PMS agad kahit 1 week palng pero naka 1000km mileage na ako?

kailangan talaga para hindi ma void engine warranty mo.

I finally took the plunge and got myself one, a white AT Hatchback. It's less than two weeks old, so I haven't logged that many kilometers on it yet, but thought I answer my own questions for those who may be interested:

1. I'm not sure, but I don't think it has an intercooler. It does apparently have an EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) cooler, which is not necessarily the same thing;
2. Power steering is electronic/motor driven;
3. Hmmm...haven't timed it myself. No place to drive it to 100 kph safely in the Metro...
4. Haven't done many curves at speed, but it seems to corner reasonably flat;
5. It's pretty comfortable, even over broken pavement, and even with the low profile 195/50R16 Kumho tires;
6. With only the driver, hitting humps is not an issue. Haven't tried it with a full load of passengers though. Ground clearance is 147 mm, which is about 18 mm smaller than my i10;
7. AC performs well. If you turn back the thermostat way back (into the red) the recirculate light and A/C light automatically turn off. If you turn it to max cooling (into the blue), the recirculate and A/C automatically turn on;
8. Sadly, no;
9. It's reasonably easy to park, but rear visibility through the rear window is pretty dismal. You have to rely on the side mirrors a lot;
10. If you put your right foot down, you'll leave most vehicles behind.

Still getting used to the following:

1. Low and reclined driving position. When I sit upright I hardly have any headroom (I'm 5'9");
2. Getting a feel for the front corners when maneuvering in tight places (like parking ramps and such);
3. Poor rear visibility. This car could really use a reversing camera or backup sensors. I didn't spend on them though;
4. Finding Euro IV diesel. Not many Unioil stations in my usual routes.

I love the whole package. Stylish, practical, powerful, efficient. Just getting used to the quirks.

Question: Do CRDi engines require injector calibration eventually? If so, typically after how many km?

I'm not an expert in crdi diesel engine so I am saying this in my personal opinion. Maybe calibration is according to the PMS schedule as stipulated in the service manual (kung mayroon nakasulat dyan). Or maybe according to the result of the OBD test. Kung lumalabas na may problema ang fuel ignition & combustion. Hula ko lang po ito.

I wouldn't call it calibration as the term is more pertaining to mechanical injection pumps. Injector cleaning may be required after some time and eventually replacement after wear and tear. Since this uses piezo injectors, I'm not sure if the injectors can be repaired with replacement of components/seals/rings compared to injectors of older diesel engines.

Any thoughts from Starex GRX CRDi owners who have racked up miles and miles in their rides?

Hanggang ilang rpm's ba tayo pwede? Nasubukan ko pauwi SLEX mula calamba, super gentle acceleration lang, 6th gear, 3000 rpm's, 150kph. Tutuloy ko pa sana kaso di ako sanay na ganun kalakas ang ugong ng makina.

May mga nakikita pa naman akong mga lumang Getz at mangilan ngilan na lumang Elantra, Sonata sa daan. Siguro kaya konti nalang ang old models nila kasi konti lang ang bumibili nito nung late 90's to early 2000's. Yung lumang Starex siguro ang pinaka marami na nagkalat sa kalsada ngayon.

May nakikita din akong mga lumang Atoz din dito sa area namin sa Pulilan. Dami din mga diesel Accent na ginawang Taxi...

Dumadami na nga sa ngayon ang mga bagong Hyundai na sasakyan. Agressive kasi ang marketing nila ngayon. Dami din naman satisfied customers, like me with my i10. Ü

Sa mga current user feedbacks yung stuck up clutch ng manual transmission saka very soft rear suspension...
Aside from that maganda overall ang feedbacks especially engine power and fuel efficiency...
I'm planning din kasi in getting the CRDi AT this month or Feb...

One month na Accent CRDi AT ko. No problems sa rear suspension. Medyo firm nga, instead of soft, especially with 16" 50 series stock tires. Minimal body roll, absorbs bumps and potholes well.

Power and efficiency are as expected from a 1.6 turbodiesel. Gamit ko Euro IV ng Unioil.

Complaints? Hmmm...

Medyo mababa siya. Parang naka lowered. Pero kung mahilig ka sa lowered plus siguro yun.

Pangit visibility sa rear window. Halos wala makita, so mas umaasa ka sa side mirrors...pero pag tagal masasanay ka rin.

Rear sensors or a backup camera is highly recommended. Wala ako e. :-)

Nasa lower part daw ng headlights yun breather si normal daw magmoist dun. Ganun yun saken before akala ko problem. Tapos nung chineck nila nagka-leak lalo. Buong hl ngayon nagmoist. Hehe!

Yes standard na yan headlight for hatch and sedan. Sayang nga hindi ako nakapagantay yung akin dec. 26 na release yung hatch pero old headlight parin.

Yung 2014 oem headlights ko sa korea ko mismo inorder last september, oem fit yung hardware...wiring madugo kasi from 6 pin to 10 pin tapos wiring pa ng DRL function
