hopefully wala ng issue yung makina, it could be a major turn off sa hyundai. been eyeing this one simula nung sinabi nila na may lalabas na crdi accent hatch. that was in 2011 pa yata sa roll-out issue ng topgear philippines hehe
sige a/t variant kunin ninyo then suggest ko is palit kayo ng 17" rims at ako bibili ng 16" rims ninyo para sa m/t na kukunin ko :D
same here, yung mag a/t jan sabihin niyo lang hahaha. hopefully it would respond well sa diesel natin dito. gaganda sales ng hyundai this year sa accent crdi, if walang major problems like it's gasoline counterpart. fingers crossed.
Hyundai Accent SR concept previews sporty light hatch | CarAdvice
or parang ganito na sonata or bagong sta. fe na rims but 4 studs...
According to GoAuto.com
Kung me budget ako, 6M/T kukuin koOf course, the Accent is surely bought mostly by women who will go for the $2000 automatic transmission option – even though its an outmoded four-speed unit that we’ve criticised previously for falling well short of rival five-speed units, let alone the Fiesta’s slick six-speed unit and VW’s seven-speeder in the Polo.
Thankfully for us, the test car was fitted with the manual and it’s an absolute gem. In fact, it’s one of the best manual gearbox/clutch combinations we’ve had the pleasure of driving – beaten only by the same unit in Hyundai’s larger Elantra petrol that we drove the previous week.
This manual is so smooth, light and easy that even manual novices will be hard-pressed making bad changes. It also has a really nice reverse lock-out ring that is so light and intuitive you do it instantly with only a finger or two.
So full marks, Hyundai. Perhaps they can teach the Japanese a thing or two after all.
2012 Hyundai Accent Active CRDi 5-dr hatch | GoAuto - Our Opinion
same family of engine lang sila ng previous 2007-2010 model accent 1.5 crdi (D4FA). the all new accent hatch is 1.6 crdi (D4FB). never had a problem sa accent crdi ko (2007 model) with regards to our diesel. wala din akong nabasa regaring diesel issues from other forums. so i guess same din dito sa 1.6 crdi.
Hyundai U engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 1.6-litre U Diesel engine (known as D4FB) from the Žilina (Slovakia) Kia factory is a bored-out version of the 1.5-litre U series engine (77.2 mm versus 75 mm)
from the picture below the engine layout is identical sa previous 1.5 crdi

so that means sir val we had a good chance na yung crdi ngayon ng accent maganda? and maybe all we had to do is to look out for other minor probles such as door locks getting jammed or won't lock properly, fuel lid caps na mahirap buksan and the like
Well basically you have to watch out every problem that the sedan has right now because most likely the hatchback shares similar parts with them. Even the suspension since hyundai's are known to have poor suspension bits. Not saying the crdi engine will be problem free but there's a big chance that it would kasi forte ng Hyundai ang diesels.

all my cars today were crdi (2008 kia carens, 2012 carnival, 2010 accent). never had a problem with regards to diesel quality issues nor had engine problem issues specially turbo issues.
basta basic maintenance lang plus regular cleaning of egr (every 20k km) and fuel filter replacement (every 20k km).
kung ganun pala eh okay na okay tong accent ngayon.silip silipin ko na lang yung dealership dito if meron na sila unit at nang magkaalaman na hehe
From the Kia Carens thread, I noticed that ang usual na nagiging defect ay EGR (easily remedied by cleaning) and yung magnetic clutch sa A/C. No problems nga with regards sa commonrail system, or sa VGT.
nabasa ko nga sa isang thread sir boy. yung magnetic clutch daw ng aircon pag pumalya umiinit yung hangin mula sa aircon. pero pag pinalitan daw nagiging ok naman sya. so far main concern is the engine and performance nung makina.
