How to know if may problema ang suspension? Wala naman ako nararamdaman pero ang experience ko sa mga Hyundai ko pare parehas pag nadaan sa lubak o pangit na daan parang tunog malalaglag ilalim ko

2006 Hyundai Starex GRX CDRI owner here. Van has 264,800 km on the odometer.
Have replaced the shifter lever and shifter bushings twice, the first time within the warranty period. Have also replaced front stabilizer links twice. Clutch has been replaced once. Radiator coolant reservoir replaced twice.
Timing belt replaced every 80,000 km. I still use the van to travel to QC from Pangasinan every other month, otherwise, it just runs around the province.
2014 Elantra
102,000mi or 165,000km done.
Replaced the rear shocks. They still work but i just wanted new ones. 7000php for the pair installed.
Need new tires in the next few thousand kms. Current one is 45k old if im correct..
Front shocks and bumpers and seats will arrive monday.
So far no issues.
2015 Accent Hatch M/T. Clocked in 53,600kms already. So far no issues. Regular fluid and filter changes lang. I DIY most of the maintenance items.
175k 2014 elantra
maintenance n wear n tear stuff..
need new bushings for lower control arms. new rear coil springs and brake rotors and fuel filter. brake fluid N atf too.

Your experience proves that hyundai utilizes inferior quality of aircon compressor lubricants than japanese

change oil, filter, spark plug lang for almost 5 years, 35,000 sa ODO![]()
GS TCI AT, EGR-blocked, 7 years old, with mileage of 37.5KKm....
Used it yesterday, approx 200km total. Total of 8 riders with some baon...
No issue whatsoever... Still loving driving it..
^how does it perform on an uphill, considering its an 8valves only diesel engine?

no offense, but many years ago, everyone had 8 valves. diesel and gas.
we had no hill problems, even then.
ability to work isn't based on number of valves exclusively.
^i know that old engines began with minimal valves until multi valves made it better
So 16 valves will perform better on an uphill climb fully loaded & an 8 valves van can tread an uphill alright with difficulty under a full load condition

changed remote battery. I thought car battery was drained.
3.0v wasnt good enough for the remote...
new 2032 was 3.3v
remote works again...

Valves got nuthin' to do with it. Well, they have something to do with it... fewer valves means theoretically more restricted breathing... but that's not the be-all and end-all of the story.
It's all about proper tuning.
Even modern one liter engines have better tuning and powerbands, thanks to EFI and electronic ignition timing, than carburetted 1.6 and 2.0 gasoline van engines.
Ramps that our 2.0 Vanette could barely tackle at full blast in first gear (slowing almost to a stop near the top) with no passengers, I can take at a slow crawl in most modern 1.5 liter MPVs.... with a full load.
On our steep test road out on Makiling, I have never had any issues with a modern car. Even an 800cc Alto or Eon, with a full load of FIVE passengers has no problems at all.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
this being the reliability thread...
16 valves means twice as many potential problems as 8 valves.
I have no issue with its uphill. To me, it is near "at par" with our VGT Mitsu. Also, its powerband is almost uniformly distributed.
Uphill, it is no doubt, better,- compared to our Gasoline rides: a Toyota Wagon, Honda car and (as niky said earlier) our Nissan van.

As of May 2017, I haven't had engine and transmission parts replaced yet on my 2006 Hyundai Sonata V6. It was bought back in July 2005.
Mileage is at 189320 miles (304681 km).
It still accelerates 0-60 mph somewhere in the 6.5-second range.
I haven't gone over 100 mph since I got a speeding ticket a while back (last year).
But, the driver door window glass now grinds a bit when raised or lowered.
Original A/C still cools very well during monsoon season.
I also stuck with the default 16" tires because bigger ones might have unfavorable effects on acceleration.
I want to replace it with say, a Genesis V6 sedan or maybe a Nissan V6 Altima. But, the wife wants a minivan.
V6.....
All the minivans sold here are V6.
Other V6 cars I want to consider.....
Hyundai Azera
Hyundai Santa Fe
Nissan Maxima
Nissan Murano
Honda Accord
Honda Pilot
Toyota Camry
