2011 Accent AT - Engine Knock!

Yung m/t kasi ng accent parang 1.3j na vios. Very basic. Ginawa kasi ng hyundai na very affordable ito at the expense of safety.

Yup, no abs and airbag yung m/t. For the 100k difference medyo sulit din ang a/t. Airbag and abs with ebd palang sulit na yang 100k. May added features pa ang a/t na alloy wheels and fold down rear seatbacks. At syempre automatic transmission with manual mode pa.

Pero kaya ko lang naman gusto ang M/T kasi tipid sa gas. Ang A/T ba hindi or same lang sila?

Ive read also na ang M/T ay walang keyless entry. So kapag kumuha ako, may extra charge kapag keyless?

As far as gas consumption is concern, mga nasa 10-20% difference siguro, and it isn't that much. Doon na magkakadeprencya if you got stuck in high volume traffic. Sa AT you have the convenience of just stepping on the gas, while sa MT, both your feet will be busy.

However, I still have joy driving MT units as you are in complete control of the car, not the other way around...

Keyless entry, I'd say na hindi ganon ka convenient yong existing alarm ng 1.4AT, it's just a bare security system. It won't automatically lock your doors when the car starts to run and you left them open. Sometimes, it arms even if the one door is left open.

On my unit, sinulit ko na lang until I find an OEM central locks and alarm. My supplier still hasn't found this thing. This is my last Mod na cguro...

di ko yun alam ah wlng abs m/t hehe, inisip ko lang kasi mas gusto ko m/t mas ramdam ko may power at mas tipid nga sa gas at mas mura, regarding rims papalit din naman ako kaya iniisip ko mas panalo ang mt sa difference na 100k. hehe mga magkno kaya sa labas ang airbags? and abs napapakabit ba yun??

*LF0515 pakabit ka nalang sa labas 2k-2.5k central lock with remote alarm na yun..
pero ikaw kung ma bubudgetan mo talaga 9k ata sa loob yun, tapos yung iba ata nagkakatopak pa yung central lock sa casa na yun.

Air bags, malaking trabaho. Yong MT walang, impact pressure sensor na nakakabit, kaya malamang bibili ka nito. And it seems hindi ito readily available sa market, kung di sa CASA ka talaga pupunta. And besides, you'll also need the SRS Module, again, CASA ang punta mo dito.

Sa ABS/EBD, mahirap ito... You'll change everything from brake master, and one crucial thing is reprogramming the EPS (Electric Power Steering) & ECM (Engine Control Management). ABS on new cars today, lahat kumukuha ng data from Steering Position, Deceleration Rate. Kaya impossible ipakabit ito..

Mas ok din sakin ang M/T though mas convenient ang A/T. Kapag keyless entry sa labas how much kaya?

If you want ABS and Airbags get the AT 1.4 Accent, there is no point in installing all this on a 1.4MT, forget it....
If you really want the MT accent and worried about your safety then better use your seatbelts all the time, airbags are supplemental equipments only which may and may not save the life of the person behind it. (no assurance)

Then of course this is another topic, but as everyone knows the more supplemental equipments you have the better...
