Balitaan mo ako kung san ka papagawa sir ah. Positive kasi may leak unit ko nawala lamig ulit. Wala pa ako time pa ayos.
Pero ng inquire akosa Home service at enough to gave me heart attack ang presyuhan hehe
6800 ung labor lahat lahat. Flushing full refrigerant refill etc.
Eto malupit sa parts price:
Front evaporator 8500
Rear 7800

Drier 1650
Front expansion valve 4500
Rear expansion valve 4800
Set oring (WURTH BRAND) 500

Makatarungan ba na price yan?

Nagawa na today unit ko sa frigidzone kamias. Paid 14k total. Una, cleaning ng dual AC is 5.5k. Nakita na may leak sa evaporator which costs 8.5k to replace. Original daw yung evaporator, hindi daw kaya repair ang old one. Hindi na pinalitan mga expansion valve. So I guess talagang 8.5k ang evaporator, but linibre na freon charging din. So far constant ang lamig naman but observe pa rin.

Didnt have time to canvass na since naiinitan mga kids ko and matagal na ako nagpapagawa sa frigidzone so trusted ko na sila. Pinakulit ko lang sa driver at pumayag naman sila na evaporator lang palitan and pwede pa raw ibang parts. May 2 leak sa from evaporator. Never knew na 2 pala evap ng starex.

Now how many grams or g for the quantity of refrigerant in a starex?

Its in the manual alright

The reason im asking, kapag nagparecharge kayo ng refrigerant this is the specification that needs to be followed

The bigger the car the higher should be the amount of refrigerant

Thats how one owner could protect themselves from a raw deal

What i know is may pressure range ang refirigerant sa car ACs that you need to measure with proper gauges

it could be only 25g but nobody weighs refrigerants in the Philippines. 25g is for some refrigerators

most ac specs only provide highside and low side pressures.

how does one know, just how much refrigerant was put in?

Thats what im trying to figure out myself, my current ride is a mirage hatchback and the refrigerant volume for such a car is 250 to 290g already

If i need to recharge it, it doesnt need to be refilled by the same amount unless the coolant is completely depleted (the air con does not get cold at all)

The most important thing to know is how to measure the volume of the coolant because refilling means restoring it back to the specified volume. Any thing less is a raw deal

Hence, i reiterate my question how much is the volume of the refrigerant in a starex air con system?

g is a metric unit for mass and it indeed stands for as gram

Since gas has density and is measured in terms of mass over volume, then we can derive the volume of the freon gas with mass as given in the manual specification sheet

If the latest starex contains pretty much less volume of freon, for a car this size then that could be the reason why its air con coolness doesnt last that long

What's funny is most a/c service shops will charge you for refrigerant recharging even if you don't have a leak. They basically resell to you the old refrigerant they harvested from your a/c system.

If we have the means, weigh the vehicle before filling the ac system with the refrigerant. Then weigh if after...😉
