    Scan showed few errors and may problem nga daw sa injectors acdg to mechanic ng SL. Rescheduled the injector cleaning next friday. Hopefully makuha ng cleaning pa. Update ko kayo.
    Sabi rin ng mechanic na may oil sa hoses and turbo rin daw. yikes.

    did it show CEL bro? or it has errors even without cel?

    No CEL doesnt mean walang code. Maybe pending code pa lang or intermittent ang problem or both thats why it was not lit yet.

    Better have it scanned by a competent tech nanichecheck ang bawat parameters of sensors if within range... Also, oil in the charge pipes/intake is completely normal. That's why some put catch can to remove this oil blowby sa intake.

    If your blowing bluish/white smoke or loosing good amounts of oil. Yun ang di normal and could be coming from worn piston(excess blowby) or turbo seal.

    Yung amin no error codes, had low power and lots of black smoke. Changed filters and blanked the egr and smoke disappeared. Installed a new egr valve and then removed the blanking plate. Now it smokes whitish blue and idles a bit rough in the morning. Once coolant temp is up no more smoke.

    Parang sabay sabay tayo nagkakaproblem sa mga GS natin.
    Magkano kuha mo egr valve? Quotation is 8.9k sa akin.
    May error codes lumabas, airflow sensor may problem, possible turbo and injectors din. airflow sensor is 5.9k, injector assembly 27k and turbo at 46k. Palitan lahat if hindi makuha sa injector cleaning.
    What do u guys think?

    From memory egr valve for the euro 4 model around 16k installed. Dami naman nila gusto palitan sa yo. For me dapat tingnan muna isa isa. Baka seals lang ang sira ng injector/turbo?

    In fairness, they said na titingnan nila ulit pagbukas para sa injectors next week. Mga possible problem Lang daw yan and their prices. Maganda sa kanila is free checkup kahit scanner use. Thinking of having Central diesel a second look.

    That's the thing, coolant ang nagbabawas, oil level is the same. I'm thinking maybe fouled up glow plugs (ginamit kasi for a while when egr was clogged) or plugged egr cooler. Baka di nila nilinisan nung pinalitan.

    Start by cleaning the MAF sensor first using brake cleaner,carb cleaner,maf cleaner.

    Blocked/clogged egr with not throw white smoke, mag CEL or pending cel lang yan related to MAF sensor or EGR due to outside acceptable exhaust flow values dahil may bara.

    Eto possible causes.
    1. Too much oil collecting sa piston or sa intake especially if parked on lng periods.

    2. Injector leaking fuel on top of piston if parked too long.

    3. If nagbabawas coolant, could be coolant leaking sa egr cooler and hinihigop makina. You can verify if may carbon traces sa coolant.

    You can rule out glow plug, alisin mo fuse or relay ng glow plug. If lumala usok, then should be a couple of dead plugs. If same qty. Ng usok lang, not plug related.

    Yup, I was thinking no.3. Coolant may be leaking from plugged cooler into the exhaust. Already cleaned the MAF sensor prior to EGR valve replacement. Hopefully not the injector or turbo seals.

    update:

    i went to the talyer and was told they cant replicate the problem. but when i was on my way home. it blew black smoke. way too much. govt dump trucks will be put to shame on how much smoke i was blowing. so had a u-turn. called the mechanic that i will do a drive-by so he can see the smoke. and was he shock.

    so i asked him what to do. and he looks dumbfounded.

    so i decided to bring it home. scanned (as told by janemar) with and elm bluetooth. and got an air sensor error. cleared it.

    then closed the egr. did a diy egr blanking. and filled up with shell nitro diesel.

    been driving it for 3 days now. and a first 20 liter nitro diesel and a 44liter nitro diesel.

    observations are. no visible smoke. no loss of power. no hiccups yet. no cel. did a scan for 2 days and no pending errors too.

    if it continues without problem. then i can conclude that its the egr. could be getting stuck.

    will update if any problem shows. unless nothing happens. then nothing to update. hehehe

    Low power with black smoke is dirty egr. Happened to me 1.5 yrs ago.

    im using a generic bluetooth elm with adroid app obd car doctor.

    bro jjb how did you fix the egr ? replace? clean? or block?

    bought it at oh el ex. few years back. no brand. just said elm 327. interface. supports all obdii protocols. have worked with strada crdi. mitsu evo4. dmax 08. subaru fxt. did not work with toyota fortuner v 07.

    That is a good toy....

    Our 7-year old GS is showing minor signs of wear and tear....

    Occasionally, the driver's door would not lock/unlock. The flashers are indeed a good indication if everything's in order.

    And then a few nights ago,- the brake switch got stuck. It was a good thing that I normally check the unit after I parked it. A couple of light kicks on the pedal turned of the brake lights....

    Yup,- it's not part of the "all lights off" feature when you remove the key from the ignition....
