Gold Limited afaik, top of the line model ng starex.
VGT - latest technology on turbos which stands for Variable Geometry Turbo. Hyundai was one of the first to implement this into their production cars at least in PH.

Just use sae90 GL-4 oil. You can find those in shell or Caltex.

May new problem si GS. Low power sya sometimes and Hindi makaakyat sa inclined roads minsan. Napalitan na fuel filter and ATF fluid. Nadala na rin sa casa and walang errors naman sa GDS scan nila. Reset ng ecu lang ginawa. Nag lowpower na naman this AM.
Ano pa kaya possible fix?

Hindi nga mausok eh. Just changed the air filter too. Gusto ko na nga ipa-blank ang EGR

Minsan kasi di kita yung usok, pag under heavy load lang yung engine like uphill from standstill. You could try blanking egr, if problem goes away, yun na yun. But also look at the intake while you're at it baka nabarahan na ng soot.

Don't fret bro, kung turbo yan makapal ang usok. Also maputi na bluish ang smoke. Member na din ako ng basag turbo club 😵

You could get your blanking plate from sir zix. When you have it installed make sure walang singaw by putting some soap bubbles on the area when it is running. Kung meron you can put liquid gasket on the outer edges.

kung turbo yan kahit sa humps hirap umakyat nyan. saka maitim ang usok pag turbo/turbo hose ang problema. black-bluish smoke pag tagas na bearing ng turbo.

Planning to replace my HVX with another Starex. Pero sobrang mahal na ng mga grey market units. 2.1M up.

Question lang sa local units, ano ba ang dinagdag or nabawas sa mga features ng mga newer models?

Matanda na. It's already 7 years with almost 140K kms on the odo.

I need the space of the Starex. Malaki ang cargo space nya even with 8 passengers sitting comfortably.

I also have a Toyota Sienna, so out of the equation na ang Carnival.

Ayoko naman ang Hi-Ace or any van with engines under the seats.

I see. The only major difference I could think of would be Euro 5 compliant engine compared to the old Euro 4 GS. Seats and everything else look like they are the same.

wala ba talaga lalabas na all new starex?
