New to the forum here. Just got my 2012 GE recently and was pondering on getting replacement wheels. Been back-reading and learned alot, Just want to clarify,

-if my rim is +48 offset on a 16x7 on a 195x45 tire, will this fit the car without any problems like rubbing on the fenders or the wheel well (when carrying heavy loads)
-Haven't seen any Rota rims with a +48 offset mostly +45 any ideas where I can get one or alternatives?
-If I were to go 17x7 using 205/45 will it still clear the fender and wheel well?

note that my car is riding on stock height, and I have no plans of lowering my ride.

    Thanks in advance!

Hi krm, welcome to the GE world. were glad to help you on this one.
if you are going for rota, a +45 offset is the easiest that you can get. as anything higher than that are already 5 X 100/114 bolt pattern. our GE uses 4x100 lug pattern, and if possible don't go over more than 7 inches in width. here are some of my reco for you since same as you am on stock suspension and have no plans of dropping.

    16s
16x7, 4 x 100 bolt pattern, +45 pataas offset , tires: 195/50/16 or 205x50/16 - Am personally on the 205s but gets rubbing very seldom but ONLY on the left driver side fender during quick dips, if i went for the 195/50/16 i dont think i would be having this slight now. charge to experience na lang.

17x7, 4 x 100 bolt pattern, +45 offset pataas, Tires: 205/45/17 , 195/50/17 --->>> this will surely clear the fender liner against rubbing basis doing the math.

hahaha! boss baka maging anghel ako nyan! :evillaugh

coils talaga sagot dyan sir! wag kana palit ng tires, sayang yan,, pero kung ma swap mo sa bridgestone na walang dagdag, edi go na! hehehe! pero really can't say na mawawala rubbing by switching to 205/45 since this tire will be thicker than 215/40,, 205/40 ang alam kong walang sabit, pero you will lose approximately 3kms/100kms on your odometer + comfort..

Thanks pcuerpo! Oo nga idol ko na din yan c sir Jay! Tire specs ko is 215/40/17 Toyo Proxes t1r. barely kasya ang 2 fingers both front and rear. mga 1.5 fingers.. so far wala naman rubbing sa front/rear ko kahit 5 passengers.

*bayen: thanks for the input sir. Had a similar problem with my FD before, kaya very carefully na ako ngayon so I guess 17x7 +45 with 195/50 is the safest bet to clear both the rear and front fenders and liners. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

so far good naman sya sir. been using mine for almost 2 years now and until now parang bago pa din. may buhok pa nga e. recently nag-rotate nako, around 8,000 KM, comparing the front tires to the rear one, dun mu lang talaga mapansin yung sign ng pagka-upod, no signs of cracks, on sidewall on all 4 tires. on dry - superb performance and grip, on wet - have not put it to MAX test like intentionally making it slide, pero with my driving style, hindi pa naman ako nawalan ng control sa wet road. my trips usually include daily city driving, plus occasional trips to carmona or tarlac via NLEX, SCTEX or SLEX.

sir jonas used ss595 on his GE before, after 3 years(i think), nag-ka cracks daw yung sidewall yung kanya. natakot nga ako dito e, hope mine wont share the same faith. so far naman yung kanya pa lang yung narinig kong case na ganyan. i have another friend using ss595, he is on 17s, so far okay pa naman din yung kanya.

NS2 is not bad too, built for tropical weather to. my brother in law has this one on his City okay naman daw. my only gripe against the NS2 is walang rim guard. instant gutter ka dito kapag hindi ka maingat, yung SS595 meron so safer on gutters. hehehe

another option to look into is nitto neogen, almost same price as those 2 mentioned above. may rim guard din. so far wala pakong negative feedback na narinig from this one.

am positive on this setup na walang rubbing (17x7 +45 , 195/50). pasok na pasok pa to lalo na sa likod.

ang maselan lang naman kasi talaga sa GE naten is yung sa harap e. its a bitch trying to look for +53 offset. meron naman pero too expensive.
may naisip pa nga ako e, since spoon theme ko what i would want to do is like this,

i'll get 2 pcs orig CR93 rims (17x7 +53 offset) slap 205/45/17 tires on it for the fronts
then 1'll get 2 pcs ROTA FRK (17x7 +45 offset) slap 205/45/17 tires for the Rear.

in this way, i dont get rubbing sa harap, rear wheels wont look TOO tucked in, pero wala pa din rubbing. + less expensive. hehehe

this.. mukhang feds nga kukunin ko kung ganun. Interesting yung nitto ah but per pcuerpo i think 6k din? medyo malayo narin. How about the road noise/ugong of the ss595? kapatid ko lang kasi may experience pero sabi niya medyo maingay nga.. pero what doe this ingay mean? kasi ang stock tires naman rinig mo ang road noise. eheh!

Since 185/55R16 ang biggest stock.

imogen, idol, di na nagreply sakin yung kausap ko sa DKC... di siguro pumayag ang boss niya... pareho kasi by order so lugi din siguro sila kung sakali... mas madali kung available yung RE002 sa kanila... pero try ko nga muna ayusin to bago ko talaga papalit unless straight swap i-offer sakin ng DKC

sabawballs, if on a budget, NS2 ka na

:praying:

Bry, boss, meron bang 195/50/17? parang ang hirap maghanap nung specs na yun! i'd suggest 205/45 pag 17s
