The center console is too cluttered ... and it's a Ford ... The facelifted Ecosport looks good though, no more rear mounted spare tire and the dashboard look so much better ...

September 12th, 2016 04:12 AM #642Never buying a ford again. I had the ford ranger xlt 2013 model. Front shocks leaked at 30k mileage. Was not covered by warranty. It also had water leaking to the engine bay when it was raining which rusted up the injectors. There was a service bulletin regarding this leak but ford philippines had no idea about this. Good thing i researched on this and had a warranty claim.
My brother's top of the line ecosport automatic likewise have problems. The double clutch automatic transmission behaves like an amateur is driving the car. Engine almost stalls on a climb. The A pillar in front also poses a big blind spot when driving. The small window beside the side mirror is useless.
I had the first generation honda jazz 2004. Bought it back in 2004 at 599k and sold it last year for 250k with 150k kms.Only part i replaced before selling it was the aircon clutch. Everything are still original (hopefully the second owner will have the same luck as i did)

September 14th, 2016 03:14 PM #643Just Summary of my Observation 1st Long Ride (road test).
Variant: Mobilio 1.5V CVT - Modern Steel (1st Car)
Purchased Date: August 30, 2016
From: Zamboanga City
Destination: Siocon Zambo Del norte
Road Condition:
- 2.5hours high way cemented.
- 4 hours rough rocky road, daming lubak, potholes.
Speed:
- Highway: 60kph - 110kph - but i think can go beyond 110kph but nakakatakot na.
- Rough road: 10kph - 35kph
Onboard:
- 4 addults
- 1 todler
- 1 driver
FC:
- Highway - Ave 13km/L
- Rough Road - Ave 8km/L uphill/downhill
- City - Ave 5.3km/L
Highway : Very Smooth strong Engine - Acceleration and respond were satisfying specially uphill, no problems in overtaking buses and other vehicles running 80 to 90 kph. nice control on twisty road, good breaking control / power.
Rough Road: malakas ang sound(ugong) sa loob ng cabin kapag mabato at may sudden impact sa gulong, stiff rocky surface uphill kayang kaya sobra ng engine at 10 - 15 kph na takbo. hindi basta2 na stuck-up sa putik dahil sa FWD, may mga times na sumasayad ang ilalim but minimal lang dahil malalim ang putik and pinipili ko talaga ang daan. hindi matagtag but and medu maugong lang sa loob pagmalubak. as long as wheels to ground lang kahit rough road (uphill/downhill) kayang kaya ng engine.
2days stayed at siocon then back to Zamboanga City same road condition.
so far no leaks below and still smooth engine.

CVT
May limit ba ng speed ang S shift mode or it can go beyond 100 kph?
when overtaking a vehicle cruising 100kph, anong shift gear and gagamitin then anong shift gear to maintain that speed?

Are mandatory seatbelts, and minimum brightness standards for exterior lighting also woke elements?
