April 28th, 2015 10:02 PM #121Between the avanza G AT and mobilio V AT, i would get the mobilio in a heartbeat. This has the edge in space and looks department. Both are evenly priced at 877k do i dont know why people are saying that the mobilio is priced higher than its competition.
I predict this car will sell considerably well and will signal honda's climb to The top again. If they price the HRV right, (which i dont think they will) then it will also become another bestseller.

April 29th, 2015 02:20 AM #123Yes, the Mobilio is pitted squarely against the Avanza 1.5 G, but the bulk of the sales of the Avanza is mostly made up of the 1.3 E and J variants and most people I know who looks at the 1.5 G almost always ends up with an Innova.

Same scenario with the Brio, it is a well spec'd vehicle beyond its class, but the market is looking elsewhere say Eon or Wigo or Mirage or Vios.
You may say that it is unfair because the price gap and quality between a wigo/eon and the brio is huge, but to a common buyer why get the more expensive if the cheaper one serves its purpose.

If apples to apples lang.
Avanza 1.5G A/T priced at 877K
Mobilio V CVT Priced at 877K
I'll go with the Mobilio
yung TOTL na Mobilio sino ba competition niya? wala talaga.
If you have the extra moola lang talaga.
Parang City VX+ and Jazz VX+ pricey talaga.

I am not taking sides here knowing that car buying is not an objective matter, just mainly basing my comment on sales figures
A thrifty, simple, no frills customer probably will. I myself have a budget for the Altis (wifey approved) but settled for a Vios E. Better use the extra money for investments.
But honestly... been drooling for a compact sedan with a 2.0 engine. Maybe just maybe on my next purchase.

this type of thrifty, simple, no-frills type of customer will probably get "the cheapest that money can buy" (within logic, of course)... probably not the customer type that honda is targeting..
and, dos2, if you are as quripot as me... "it ain't gonna happen..!". i have been mulling over that compact with a 2.0 engine for decades now... kukunsensiyahin at lalagnatin ako sa bawa't tapak ng silinyador..

True, admittedly Honda customers are on a different niche.
On your last statement, no comment. Hahah
Going back to the topic, my forecast will be the Mobilio will sell in between the Jazz and City sales figures but definitely not supass the City. Good for Honda if I am wrong.
It may be variable speed I think. It's slowly being used on cars that either don't have an ICE, or...
