My FC for my Honda Jazz 05, 1.3L,manual,is at the average of 10.68 kms/li, city driving ( for 10 kms span, it took me 45 minutes..see how much traffic jam I got into with everyday).

The highest I got is 15 kms/li but with full load.

    ano fc niyo?

and mga sir, i don't compute fc kasi..
what's the best way of computing it?

looked over the whole thread, d kc na explain...

    salamat..
    To compute for FC:
1] Fill up your gas tank to the rim.
2] Tare or bring your odometer to ZERO reading.
3] Drive as you usually do,,,
4] after a week or about more or less 100 kms run, fill up your gas tank to the rim.
    5] take your odometer reading ( "A")
6] Take how many liters were use to fill up your gas tank to the rim.(B)
    7] Divide A by B
8] the result is your FC

hi po.. kakabasa ko lng ng mga threads, based on my experience sa 00 civic 1-5 lxi (with stock jazz rims & tires), byahe po ako from bulacan-qc-iba,zambales-baguio(via pangasinan) then back to bulacan... naka 800km yata ako, mga P3,500 ang naigas ko(shell unleaded).. last june 7-8 po un. d ko lng matandaan kung magkano unleaded nun. 4 kming papaunta zambales, & then 2 na lang kmi nung papuntang baguio. i think tipid pa naman cya considering 8yrs old na ung car, compare sa crdi ko na parang digasolina lumagok ng diesel.. hehehe

My sister and I are considering to buy a Honda City (1.5 CVT). But then, I'm now thinking twice after knowing that the 1.3 CVT drives about 13-16 km/L.

Now, I kindly ask, what is the 1.5 CVT's fuel consumption? Thanks in advance

AFAIK po halos pareho din. Mga 12-15. I'm surprised though na natataasan kayo. Very few, if any, will beat this FC and power combination. Pero kung ang kinukumpara ninyo ay ang nakasulat sa brochure ng ibang sasakyan, don't po. Hindi po reliable ang mga yun.

Yep in general double digit fuel economy on city driving is good fuel economy. Many cars advertise double digit fuel economy pero malamang highway yun with aircon off at 5th gear running at 100km/h.

Hello pup2, I thank you for the response. By the way, I am really surprised because this is actually the first time that we're seriously checking out a car make other than the one we have been used to for years.

And yes, I never trusted 'claims' over a car's fuel consumption. Well, apparently, we know the intention

Now, the thing is, I might as well go for the 1.5 CVT if the fuel consumption difference is insignificant. Thanks a lot!

I managed 12.21 km/li last week. I have been able to get 12+ km/li for the past 3 weeks since i changed driving styles. I used to get about 9-10km/li.

the car's a 1996 Honda Civic VTI and travel distance is about 40km/day from Paranaque to Ortigas. Traffic condition is light to moderate mostly but sometimes i get caught up in heavy traffic. Sometimes i use A/C sometimes not.

Both could be correct. I used to own a CRV 03,Automatic. ITs FC is 6-7 km/li.

Mas matipid yun manual vs, Automatic. My CRV 06, manual has an average of 10.47 kms/li, City driving. My FC improve from 9.2 to 10.47 kms/li when I changed my driving style, medyo light footed na ako sa gas pedal.

Mas matipid pala ang latest model ng CRV.. di ba pareho ang engine?

I'm planning to get the 03 crv manual of my friend, but FC of it scares me... hehehe

12T lang ang mileage ng CRV, benta nya at 500T sa akin... sulit po ba? Can I still get 8km/li from it?

My friend had CRV 03 model, 8 seater, which has an FC of 8-10 kms/li, sabi nya. Masisiyahan ka sa CRV.

OT: Just in case na di mo bibilhin CRV ng friend mo, baka pedeng ako na...
    Thanks.
