it took the serviceman less than 5 minutes to replace my defective (non-honda) aircon lamp.
i watched him do it. but i haven't tried it myself, yet.
    kapag na-pundi, susubukan ko.

^ 5 mins lang doc?!! ako halos buong hapon palit niyan tapos full concentration at tagaktak pa pawis

pasensya nga lang talaga kailangan kasi easy lang naman kung tutuusin. need lang ng right tools at research (for people like me who aren't really mechanically inclined) kung paano magbaklas at more importantly, paano magbalik. i actually had to take pics of where those audio jacks were plugged at the back of the head unit so i can redo them properly

Lagi ako palpak everytime i DIY something on my car haha. normally masusugatan yung plastic part when trying to pry somthing. Frustrating haha.

May times din na pag naka tyempo ka din ng service guy na hindi maingat, palpak din. Like the one who installed seat cover sa kotse ko nuon. Sinira yung plastic clip locks nung reat seat ko. Then may couple of scratches yung plastic linings ng interior ko. bad trip lang eh. Sorry daw. haha

^ bad trip talaga iyong ganyan kaya iyong mga small things ako na lang gumagawa kasi madami careless talaga na workers. can't blame them naman din

bro para hindi masugatan iyong plastic interiors mo gamit ka ng plastic prying tools designed specifically for that task. kasi kung screw driver lang gamit mo talagang madadamage ang plastic maski nakabalot pa iyan sa basahan. available naman iyan sa concorde car accessories store at a reasonable price

in another instance, it took me over 2.5 hours to do my steering gear. the friendly mechanic did it in 15 minutes.

taking pictures is the way to go! it ensures correct-ness in putting it back together.
we didn't have them back in the day. drawings and diagrams lang kami. kung minsan, ay hindi na ma-basa dahil na-dumihan ng ng grasa...

but we don't do shocks. wala kaming compressor...

Stick with Honda ATF, medyo mapili sa fluid yung tranny ng Honda. There are a few shops that sell Honda ATF but it costs the same as when bought from casa.

Paying a bit extra and a peace of mind is much better than paying for rebuilding the tranny and lots of headache.

^ i agree w/ bos egan. Don't experiment w/ another brand. Medyo delikado ang mga pwede maging consequence

Buy the oem atf at the casa to be safe. Ang daming peke din kasi sa market kaya better go and buy at the stealership na lang hehe

    HI FD Users,

I am planning to buy a used car as my daily driver. I plan to keep it for 10 years so it needs to be reliable and also cheap to maintain. I will also use it for long road trips 3-4 times a year. Will the Civic FD a good car for my criteria? Thanks so much.

For me as daily driver, may ibang mas matipid sa gas, unless you are rich while comfort and ride quality weighs more than than money for you.

But for weekend gala, errands and occasional road trips, I am super glad we picked FD.

It will last long. This is Japanese tech. With proper care and maintenance it will run and look fine after years of use.

Ayon sa fuelio 10km/l. Take note di ako religious mag input dito. We don't use it car everyday din.

Kung pang daily driver hanap ko, kukuha ako ng 1.3 or diesel. But that is just me, di ako fan ng OpEx.
