Hi! I just want to share my experience with my FD. You might see similar issues that'll be useful to you in the future.

    2006 Model 1.8s with 65k mileage
CASA maintained though I only do PMS based on mileage (1K 5K 10K etc). In short, PMS once a year.

2006-2011 (personally driven) - No major issues except for the usual consumables and driver initiated issues
2012 (wife and driver driven) - front suspension issues. Changed tie rod ends, stabilizers and corresponding bushings.
2013 - Front Shock absorber issue. Changed shock absorber of both sides. Mounts still ok.
2014 - Aircon issue (not cleaned since birth). Lacked coldness during hot days. Changed AUX(aircon) fan. No freon leak
    Early 2015 -
    1. Power steering issue- Power steering fluid leak. Overhauled power steering pump. Changed power steering line.
    2. Front windows alignment - Windows get misaligned when closing. CASA cleaned the rubber gutters.
    Present -
    1. Still power steering issue. Leak found on power steering gear box. Still unresolved (need funds)
    2. Front windows alignment - Issue resurfaced. For further diagnosis

Overall, my FD has shown its reliability throughout the years. It was worth all the pesos in 2006.
I'm maintaining this car to give to my son in 6 years. I don't think he'll mind getting a 15 year old car by then.

    Have a great day!

interesting that you didn't have the engine mount issue on your FD. I wonder, can the power steering system (hydraulic) be upgraded to Electric?

Nice! Your car is technically just over 3 years old

Mga Paps, ganito ba fuel filter nyo sa FD? Ganito pinakita sakin sa casa for FB.

In my opinion, kung pede man i-upgrade, baka napakalaki ng gastos kasi may sariling control unit ang eps, plus the motor, torque sensor and steering gear box parang iba din.

iyan nga ang fuel filter ng fd

nagpalit ako niyan last december. sa casa ko na binili para siguradong hindi peke pero sa hongly na ko nagpakabit. so far so good

sa tingin ko acceptable a din iyong presyo kasi: 1. it's a vital past of the fuel system tapos 2. matagal naman ako bago magpalit niyan. kung di ako nagkakamali twice ( or thrice at the most. i forget) pa lang ako nagpalit sa 142,000 ++ kms na tinakbo ng fd namin

Thanks bro baludoy! Anyone know saan pwede magpakabit nito sa alabang area? motortown? Ewan ko ba, nawalan na kasi ako ng tiwala dito sa dalawang casa na malapit sa akin after so many bad experiences sa service nila, although sa kanila pa rin ako nabili ng parts para sure genuine nga.

So far, "relatively" problem free especially since the mileage doesn't pile up so fast.

Repairs on the older FD~ 65K run on this:

Power steering, front shocks, engine support (x2). Some lights on the radio panel aren't working and the front right speaker is dead.

Considering the car is turning 9 years old in a few months, not so bad.

    Repairs on the MMC:

    Engine support.

    1. Look for leaks in the power steering hoses. Mahal ito sa CASA.
    2. Engine support. Sakit ito ng FD.
    3. Shocks will probably need changing soon in an almost 10 year old car.
    4. Small random issues.

Meron na nabibiling taiwan replacement na pressure hose nag PS. same brand ng original hose ginamit, no need to have one crimp. Palitan na ng buo wala pa yata 3k
