After months of searching, researching, reading and test-driving different vehicles, finally settled with the Honda Civic 1.8E, largely thanks to the reviews here in Tsikot! Got it last Friday, pero wala pa OR/CR kaya garage queen muna hehe.

Question lang. I read the manual and it says that our Civic has a built-in alarm system. Is there any way you can check this? The manual says that this is activated when someone tries to open a door without the key fob. I tried this, pero naturally locked ang doors, so di ko maconfirm. Although when the doors lock/unlock, may BEEP and flashing lights. Anyone have any info on this?

Natry ko sa mobilio namin ganito. I sat inside the car and closed the door. I had someone to lock the car from the outside using the keyless entry. I opened the door from the inside and the alarm went off.

Nice! How much na discount nakuha mo? Should be really huge since pa launch na yung facelift locally.

I think it also activates when you unlock using the physical key (yung susi na nasa key fob mismo).

just a question sa mga honda users, what is your usual fuel consumption. on heavy traffic, mix and highway.

sa previous gen kasi complain ng mga mayari malakas daw sa gas kasi 1.8, is it still the same?

was trying to compare the fuel consumption of latest gen Civic 1.8 and Altis 1.6

    I'm averaging 9.6km/l during my 1st year. (1.8L). I can say that it's 60-70% highway.

I'm heavy footed and pag walang traffic sa EDSA, I usually weave through slow moving vehicles. haha

Matipid na din sa gas I should say, my City GM 1.5A/T averaged 9.9km/l, same usage.

Shame lang yung CVT, talagang geared towards fuel economy.

Even a 1.0L turbo with DCT Kia Rio is a second faster in 0-100kph

People complain about FC yet they look for performance. If you want your NA car to go faster, then floor that gas pedal to get to 6k rpm. If still not enough, get a car with a bigger or more powerful engine.

It has been some time since I let the VTEC roar from a Honda engine. Medyo hesitant yung bayaw ko ipahiram yung Civic RS nya sa akin.

Last weekend, I took the chance to let the MIVEC 4B11 roar a bit on SCTEX.

Noob question mga sir. Just got the 1.8E and when i drive slowly (5-10kph) may “kadyot” siya when the brake hold is engaged during acceleration. Normal lang po ba ito?

    Salamat po

Kahit ano basta 95 octane. Teka lang, it's not so much the type of fuel but the way you drive it. Any fuel basta hindi kumatok yung engine ok na - which means typically 91 octane or above. Yung economy ng CVT tranny mas sensitive sa driving style compared sa traditional matic. Your fuel economy takes a nosedive if you have a lead foot or mahilig ka umupak to feel the revs and kick of the gear changes. Maintain steady driving habits and avoid jackrabbit starts and hard braking. And I never use the ECO mode - the delayed and lethargic response is just too much to bear.

Pwede yan kapag hataw-preno driving style mo a la taxi driver.
