Don't be too sad about the fuel economy indications. The mileage will get better over time.
Here are some things that might help you (as they do mine. No harm in trying them out):
    - fully synthetic 0w20 SN engine oil, Honda or others
    - setting the tires to 35psi (when cold), 33psi (when warm). If too stiff for you, bawas lang.
    - k&n high flow, reusable filters (cabin and engine). Tried these after purchasing filters from Honda and, for the money, bawing-bawi sa k&n in the long run. Just maintain em every now and then. Honda-marked cabin filter is around P2500, engine around P1300. Ordered from US for 1.5T variant -$45 engine air filter, $40 cabin filter, recharger/cleaning kits $10 for cabin filter, $15 for engine air filter. There are some local sellers with fair pricing also. For the way and where I drive the RS, the stock air filter is almost black-ish everywhere around 3K kms or so, with the 1.8, I think you can do better.
    - changing cvt fluid at 20K kms or earlier, maybe yearly (around P1.8K to P2.1K lang ata sya last time), strictly honda HCF-2.
    - smoother throttling and braking
    - A/C set to 26 or 27 degrees, hanggang maaari. Pero kung naiinitan na kayo, walang magagawa. hahahha. Unless kaya pang bawiin sa higher fan setting.
    - removing unnecessary cargo
    - trying to lose personal weight
Di ba dapat inflate to around plus 4 Psi when the tire is warm sa recommended pressure? So ang 33 Psi mo na setting when warm magiging 29 Psi na lang yan when cold.

+2 psi if you drove for around 30-60 minutes ... +4 psi for long highway driving ...

Not really, 2018 sakin may EPS issue sakin since Day 1. But still haven't bothered to process the warranty kase bumabalik din based sa actual feedbacks. Yung iba 3x na nagpapalit, ganun pa din eh.

Di ko lang sure sa 2019 release, but most likely meron pa din yan ganyang issue

Baka fixed na dun sa facelfited version (launching this April, together with the Accord).

The EPS issue, is yung while turning left or right, may "kumakatok" na parang woodpecker. Noticeable siya, and majority of owners aren't bothere pero if OC ka, then mapapansin mo talaga.

Other than that, I haven't heard of any other issues with the new Civic.

Affected lang yung steering pag sagad, mostly noticed pag nag papark. May sound and may parang hesitation. Madaming posts sa FB groups if you wanna hear a sample sound.

Actually ganyan din yung problem ng City GM ko. Hinayaan ko lang, eventually may kalampag na din. (most City GMs have this problem, amazingly the GM6 parang wala akong nababasa)

My Civic recently lang, nadidinig ko na din may slight kalampag na din. Same sound as my City before.

Yes, but just for the leather. Having leather wrapped on top of the urethane steering wheel of the 1.8 makes it too thick. So I got this wheel from a fellow Tsikoteer then will just have it rewrapped and will transfer the controls from my original wheel.

I would've wanted the paddle shifters of the RS as well but as of now there's no locally available TCM update for the transmission of the 1.8 to enable paddle shifters, so I even if I have all the parts and wiring, my transmission can't recognize it so it's a futile exercise.

That's still my same old daily watch bro. Kakapaservice ko lang in time for the wedding but I haven't bought a new watch in recent history - been pouring my money on the wedding and on home furnishing. [emoji4]

Nice....On the paddle plan, haven't you dug into the paddle harness & compatibility from the previous gen 1.8 instead of that from the RS? Earth Dreams may have a totally different protocol. Just thinking out loud.
