I did that on my Civic (~180 Kph, empty road), no ill effects so far. Although I kept acceleration and braking as smooth as possible for the first few hundred KMs.

Ayos, thanks sir. Parang madali nga lang lagyan ng foam sa loob yan, na-aangat ata sya ng onti from the bottom.

ask ko lang mga bossing, ilalabas ko na kasi yun RS ko bukas...any tip, need pa ba e break in? if recommended, ilan kilometer to run at maximum speed po. My 1st car is FD 2010 second hand nga lang. RS will be my first brand new car. Thanks sa feedback in advance.
Break-in should be done in the 1st 1k km, normally dapat i-baby mo muna sya, no hard acceleration (high rpms) and avoid hard braking. Pero don't worry, kaya mo paabutin ng >100km/h easily without being too hard on the engine/cvt.

Kadalasan kase pag sinabing break-in, interpretation is dapat i-redline mo or hatawin sa highway, which is a big no-no.

Ingat and enjoy sa Pagudpud. Wag lang ma-accident, wala ka pa OR/CR.

Like from 100km/h, you slam the brakes up to the point you activate the emergency stop signal (ESS) or the ABS. Keyword is avoid, syempre pag emergency okay lang hehe.

Afaik nothing new, nasa manual din siya. Something to do with the brake pads/rotors, I guess.

Btw, void ba ang suspension warranty pag nag palit ng mags/tires? Itching to upgrade the stock 16s to 18s (same diameter). Pwede din namang itago if ever mag PMS or claim ng warranty, pero sayang din gusto ko ibenta habang medyo bago pa saka medyo hassle magpalit palit.

I've asked 3 different casas, 2 sabi void daw, yung isa, hindi naman. Wtf?

pag sumayad, void. pag hindi sumayad, not void.
    pag nasira bearing, void.
    my opinion.

Avoid overloading vehicle and going up steep hills with heavy load during break in period ... much better to read the operating manual regarding break in period ...

It's not new. It's usually stated in most vehicles operating manuals ... Sudden start and stop is normally discouraged during break in period ... break-in involves the transmission, brakes, etc. aside from the engine ...

i prefer hardbraking anytime, over having to pay for a vehicle's crash repair.

I’m using carplay and android auto and both are working well. Though android auto is my preferred interface for supporting google maps and waze. Anybody tried rooting the headunit to directly install the waze? If yes, can the rooted unit be easily reverted back to factory default? Just want to maximize the Headunit’s gps capability... your thoughts pls... tia.

Yup. Rooted mine. Got to experience the long method and the more recent and way easier “honda hack” method.

Only put in to waze and spotify. Don’t want to overload and overwork the head unit.

So far, so good. No issues experienced.

I'm not sure you can do this unless you flash the original firmware back to the head unit.

In the US they have software updates once in a while for theirs infotainment systems. Don't know if we can do the same here on our side.

It's best not to tinker with anything drastic like flashing it. Leave it as is.
