Mga Master hingi lang ng tips first Time car owner. Honda City 2018. Since this is my first car ano bang maganda investment para sa car? I already bought cleaning stuff kasi di ako nag pa car wash ako mismo naglilinis. I'm thinking about having it coated with gtechniq although expensive parang worth it naman. Any advise mga Master?

wag maging obssessed. it's just a car

buy the cheapest gasoline. i just loaded up last night it was P34.10 per liter. when in doubt consult the manual, if it says 91 RON then buy 91 RON gasoline

don't skip periodic maintenance. it's 10,000kms or 6 months whichever comes first. honda has idemitsu mineral oil (API SN) use it. no need to get fully synthetic if you're just doing normal driving

beware of snake oil that casa might try to sell you. always refer to the manual for specific items to replace/adjust. nothing more nothing less. again consult the manual

if you have CVT transmission NEVER EVER use atf

    never ever use type-1 coolant

when you park you car switch recirculation to outside-air mode to allow evaporator to dry off

    take it easy during break-in

    congrats on the new car!

congrats on your new car sir!

if you are the type of person that is too busy or dont want to spend too much time maintaining (wash, wax, seal, polish, etc), then sulit ang ceramic coating.

take note though that madaming false claims about it. it will still require some maintenance or reload. and it does not prevent scratches.

    pilosopo me.
it's impossible to invest in a car.
its fair market value can only go down, whatever you do.

what i do, is keep everything stock. no borloloys. no modifications.
when it's time to sell it to make way for a new car... many buyers will prefer as stock as stock can be.

what is the best gift a car owner can give its car, to make it keep its brand new look? A COVERED GARAGE.

    my opinion.

Huwag mo naman buyuhin, bro. Hehehehe

*Claud - keep the car in stock form. All such body kit mods are just a waste of money.

Why sir? Ito ang ginagamit sa casa di ba? Bought one pa nga sa casa pang top up.

type-2 is a 10year coolant. casa wants to make money so they'll contaminate your type2 to reduce its life and make you change the coolant earlier

type1 is a totally different chemistry. google conventional vs organic acid coolants

Or type 2 na hindi Honda brand?

And pag PMS type 1 pa rin naman talaga ata nilalagay unless you have a type 2 and yun yung pinalagay mo? . Another aspect of their service na hostage tayo until the warranty ends.

i strongly agree on having a covered garage. [emoji51]

Yun nga lang kahit meron kang covered garage sa bahay pagdating sa office (for those working) usually open parking din bagsak, hehe! [emoji14]

    type2 is a honda designation. i'm sure it's just an off-the-shelf organic-acid coolant from a supplier w/ minor tweaks

available ang type2. they ARE out there just don't accept no for an answer i've replaced the entire coolant on two hondas already. just be VERY PUSHY at your honda dealer LOL

yes "hostage" ka na sa type2 coz that's what's originally installed. so the insides of your engine & cooling system already have the chemical reactions w/ the coolant that's needed for the 10-year life of the type2 coolant. if you introduce a different chemistry you won't get the 10-year protection anymore.

kaya wag magpaloko. simply use type2 and you won't have to change the coolant for 10 years!
