On certain Toyota vehicles, if enabled, separate yung beeps pag naka-reverse ka. Continuous na beep-beep-beep sound while shifted to reverse.

And then, iba pa yung beeping sounds ng parking sensors (it beeps on top of the reverse beeps). It will start beeping slowly if the object is first detected but malayo pa and will progressively beep faster until you get a solid beep kapag halos 1-2 dangkal nalang ang layo.

    .
i once disregarded the back up proximity warning of my car.
hayun! na-tamaan ko yung alulod that was painted in the same color as the rest of the concrete wall.
i didn't have the dent in my rear trunk repaired, as a reminder...

Since we're talking about backing-up beepers, anyone remember the bird chirp backup alarms from the 70's and early 80's? They were everywhere. The way I remembered them is that they are shaped like an oval, often with a plastic chrome grill. Can't find any pictures of it online.

They go chiiiiirp, chiiirp, chiirp, chirp, chirp, chirp....

There are modern ones that look nowhere near the original. Although they'll probably go well today with say a vintage Tamaraw or a Ford Fiera.

i remember those. while some looked shiny and flashy, like a nikeladong mini bosch busina, the majority were generic plastic thingees devoid of fashion imagination. "to be heard and not to be seen." heh heh.
installed at the rear, they chirped to warn pedestrians that the nearby vehicle was backing up.
they had no proximity sensor capability. they just chirped when the transmission box was put into reverse.
and like fashion, they eventually died of starvation.

Iba iba siguro depende sa brand at model.

Ganito nga sa Raize. Medyo malakas iyong reverse beep beep sound, pero nasanay na din.

I'll go out on a limb to say that they're probably speeding. It's like the Honda Civic that crashed behind a U-turning truck about a year ago.

Idami ganitong accidente na sandwich sasakyan. Parati ako umiiwas mapagutna sa mga truck. Sa expressway naman iwas sa truck lane ng toll gate.
