ugali ko naman, 1 to 2 flash lang ako pag clear naman talaga ang overtaking lane... pag-di tumabi, ako na lang iiwas.. ibig sabihin, IDIOT yung mokong na yun. natuto lang humawak ng manibela, umatras-abante.![]()
Naku yung mga ganyang gawain sa EDSA mas masarap asarin yan, pag ako tinututukan ng HID hi-beam mas lalo kong binabagalan until wala na syang choice kundi lumipat ng lane. Ok lang sana kung nagflash lang to signify intent to overtake, yung iba kasi babad sa hibeam ung HID nila eh, naka HID nga di naman alam gamitin.
Andami kasing may hindi alam na overtaking lane ang leftmost lane lalo na pag nasa highways. Kabadtrip talaga yan, ikaw ang mag-aadjust.
Bwisit yan ano. Sa NLEX lang eh. Ilang beses akong iilaw para tumabi siya dahil hindi niya lane yun, eh ayaw tumabi! Pero ako kasi, once na nasa overtaking lane ako at inilawan ako, tumatabi naman ako unless hindi talaga ako makatabi. Pero badtrip yun ilaw ng ilaw tapos hindi makaintindi ng situation. Gusto ko ngang tumabi pero hindi ako makatabi kasi loaded yun linyang pupuntahan ko
Tailgating isn't the answer. It never is. Ever heard of a concept called "accident avoidance?" Tailgating on a highway just flies in the face of that because you don't give your brakes any real opportunity to do their job of retarding speed when you need it. Besides, the whole point of "accident avoidance" isn't to come to a screeching halt - it's to avoid a crash in the first place.
It's better to pick your opportunities for overtaking by developing your situational awareness. Look as far ahead as you can and be aware of the positions of the vehicles around, beside and behind you. When you know all of that, you can plan your moves. If you're boxed in, wait it out until you find an opening...then capitalize by making use of your engine's torque.
If you're being overtaken and the other driver has enough room to complete the maneuver, don't cut him/her off. Defend your lane position only if you are certain that the other driver really doesn't have enough room to complete overtaking without cutting or crashing into you.
Lastly, if you ply the highways often and stick to a regular route and set of exits, you should plan your movement and road position in advance. Gradually move over to the middle, and then to the right, if you know your exit is close. Don't move over to the rightmost lane at the last minute just to get to your exit. Conversely, don't move over to the leftmost lane immediately when entering a highway - chances are you haven't gathered enough speed to avoid faster moving traffic on the leftmost lane crashing into your bum.
Happened to me twice during the holidays.
I was doing 100KPH (actually faster...) on the passing lane and the road behind and in front of me was wide open...
Except for a vehicle out front, who was doing around 80KPH in the middle lane.
As I was approaching it,- the vehicle suddenly changed to the passing lane, for no apparent reason (as again,- the road was wide open)...
I don't know what these guys were smoking for doing such an illogical move...
No choice but to shift to the middle lane and overtake these nincompoops....

pagkatapos nang maraming tawa, pinagsabihan ko naman, 1st time yata sa highway.
Nung New Year lang, nung paakyat kami ng Baguio, may isang Adventure na nasa passing lane. Ang daming sasakyan nang nakabuntot sa kanya pero wala silang ginawa kundi lumusot sa middle lane. So ako nalang ang naiwan. Eh erpats ko sinabi na hindi ata marunong sa express ito magdrive at hindi ata nakakaintindi ng overtaking lane. So para ma-test kung talagang t*nga siya, pwesto ako sa likod sabay ilaw para tumabi siya. Aba, ayaw tumabi. Siguro mga 10x ko siyang iniilawan pero dedma lang ang loko. Ginawa ko, clear yun kanan ko, so pasok ako sabay busina at tinignan ko yun loko. Feel ko eh parang wala lang sa kanya yun situation dahil easy easy lang siya. Then pwesto sa unahan niya sabay accelerate. Di nila naisip na takaw aksidente yang ginagawa nila. Dapat doon sila sa outermost lane kung gusto niyang mag-cruise sa ganung speed
Madami talaga tan*a sa highway. Sa sctex before, may picanto sa passing lane, nag flash ako, dedma. Binusinahan ko, dedma parin. Nung nag over take na ako sa right lane, after ko businahan, aba binusinahan din ako. Ugok talaga

Night driving sa NLEX, kahit na halos nakabuntot na sa akin yung pick up ay naka-high beam pa rin. Halos 20kms na ganun ang sitwasyon, nairita ako at pinauna ko na, saka ko sya binuntutan. Ayun biglang lipat sa mababagal na linya.

Presto, nabawasan ang makulit sa likod ko. Ayaw din pala nilang gawin sa kanila yung ginagawa nila sa kapwa nila.
Question lang: if you are on the fast lane doing the maximum speed limit already and may pumipitik sa likod mo, pagbibigyan nyo or not?
daming ganyan sa NLEX madalas yung assembled AUV, muka syano pa driver kala nya ata pang mabagal ang innerrmost lane. Parang baliktad na nga passing lane na ang outermost or middle. Naaala ko nung di pa gawa yang NLEX halos lahat ng mabagal ulti mong truck nasa kaliwa yung umoberteykt ang sa kanan. Tsk tsk, dami ata talaga tan*a na pinoy.
Re HID bawal nga yan di naman pinapatupad.
