The getaway car was purchased from a car dealer in mindanao avenue who is a friend of mine. He was interviewed by TV Patrol the other day. The buyer paid him in cash 260thou for a toyota corolla 1999 model. My friend had no inkling that the car being bought was to ba used in the Rolex robbery.Disente daw yung buyer at may kasama pang babae.
Ang problema kasi sa PNP natin, identified agad yung gang involved, and tingin ko, as far as PNP is concerned, case solved na kasi identified na.. After a while ayun huli yung suspect.
Update:
Naiuwi na ang bangkay ng isang napatay.
Widow, brod claim Greenbelt 5 robber's body
(The Philippine Star) Updated October 28, 2009 12:00 AM
MANILA, Philippines - The widow and brother of the slain Greenbelt 5 mall robber surfaced yesterday to claim his body at the funeral parlor in Pasay City.
Metro police chief Director Roberto Rosales said Lara Domingo claimed she was not aware of the illegal activities of her husband, Armando, 32.
“She expressed her willingness to submit herself to any police investigation,” Rosales said.
Lara was accompanied by her husband’s brother, Wilson, in claiming the slain robber’s body at the Veronica Funeral Homes in Pasay City. She said she will bring her husband’s body to their hometown of San Jose in San Mariano, Isabela province.
She said she and Armando have three children but separated years back. She left to work in Hong Kong and went back to the country to stay for good last November.
Lara said she learned about Armando’s death last Oct. 18 through reports on television and newspapers, but could not travel to Metro Manila since typhoon “Pepeng” battered their province. “There was no transportation available to bring us to Manila so we are late in claiming his body,” she said.
Lara was allowed to bring home her husband’s body, but not before paying the funeral parlor P85,000 and giving her statement to the Makati City police.
Reports reaching Philippine National Police chief Director General Jesus Verzosa stated that Domingo was a former New People’s Army rebel and a dismissed Citizens’ Armed Forces Geographical Unit member. Verzosa said they have no records of Domingo’s previous brushes with the law.
sa tingin ko marami pa rin members ang gang na yan, it will only be a matter of time for them to regroup and commit another crime.
Crime pays kasi dito sa pinas. And pinatay para hindi makasalita sino handler nila.

May local official na protectorPolice probing local exec's involvement with Flores group

Police are investigating a local official's possible involvement with the notorious Flores robbery group, whose leader was killed by police in an encounter in Cebu City last week.
National Police chief Director General Jesus Verzosa announced that the local executive had allegedly provided protection for a member of the group who was wounded in a recent encounter with policemen.
Verzosa declined to name the elected official, who, according to reports, employed the Flores robbery gang member as his bodyguard.
A radio dzMM report, meanwhile, said there were also information gathered by police that the local executive also employed another member of the group, Armando Domingo, as a security guard at his piggery and cattle farm.
Domingo was slain by policemen during a shootout at Greenbelt mall in Makati City, where the gang entered and took expensive watches from a store.
Law enforcement agencies, including the national police and the National Bureau of Investigation, intensified manhunt operations against the members of the group.
The operations resulted in the killing of the group's alleged leader, Alvin Flores, during an encounter at the Tripina Ceneca Compound in Barangay Compostela last October 29.
Three other members of the gang were also killed in the encounter, police said. Two of the fatalities were identified as Richie Hijapon and Mark Salamanca. With a report from Noel Alamar, radio dzMM

The Rolex Store was the wrong target...
The target of the robbery group in Greenbelt 5 mall was not the Rolex watch store but an adjacent store also selling expensive watches, the detained gang member also revealed Wednesday.
Batiencela said the plan was to hit the Patek Philippe store.
Batiencela said that their “pointer” who was also their leader failed to identify the right store.
“Pagpasok namin, sabi ni Alvin ‘yon ang pasukin, eh di pumasok na rin ako… Akala ko ‘yon ang Philippe Patek eh hindi pala,” admitted Batiencela.
Batiencela was reportedly the one carrying a tennis bag when the members of the gang entered the Rolex watch store, as shown in a closed-circuit television video. He was allegedly also the one who shattered the glass cases containing the watches that they wanted to get.
Batiencela is tagged as the one who smashed the store's glass cases
He was holding a caliber .45 pistol when the shootout started with the 2 policemen who are members of Taguig City Mayor Sigfredo Tinga’s security detail. The 2 cops interrupted the robbery and shot it out with the robbers.
Batiencela said Flores was the lookout outside the store during the robbery and was also the one who exchanged gunfire with the 2 policemen.
“Panay sigaw si Alvin, labas! Di kami lumalabas. Umalis si Alvin, iniwan kami, akala niya siguro mga patay na kami,” said the detained suspect. One of the robbers, Armando Domingo, was killed in the shootout inside Greenbelt 5.
“Quick dispatch”
He said after they escaped and went to their safehouse in Bulacan, he was given P15,000. He said the watches were quickly “dispatched.”
“Pagdating sa safehouse, nagbihis na kami, pinagtatago na ang mga gamit tapos sabi nina Alvin at ni Joseph, dito muna kayo, hintayin niyo na kami kasi benta namin ang mga relo… Mga isang oras lang, bumalik na sila,” narrated Batiencela.
The robbers were reportedly able to cart away 64 pieces of expensive watches estimated to be worth P6 million.
The group hid from the authorities until they reached Cebu City where they were found by NBI agents.
“’Pag sigaw ni Tulig na kalaban daw!, dumiretso na ako, tumakbo na ako papuntang dagat eh… Wala man ako talaga balak na lumaban kasi alam ko sa kanila, hindi pahuhuli ng buhay,” said Batiencela of his companions in Cebu City. He was the only one who survived in the ensuing shootout.
Batiencela said he was new to the group. He said he had joined in only 3 “operations.”
He also said that it was not easy to talk directly with the group’s leader Flores. He said one had to go through Hijapon, the leader’s right-hand man and who was known as Dodong.
“Gusto ko lang sana mangyari makakuha lang ako ng puhunan, aalis din ako sa kanila… Ang patakaran sa grupo, pag nakasama ka na sa grupo, di ka na pwedeng umalis, papatayin ka nila,” said Batiencela.
Batiencela said he was sorry for what he had done, especially now that he is detained and while his children were still young.
“Sobra pagsisisi ko. Pati tuloy pamilya ko nadamay,” said the confessed robbery gang member.
Batiencela said that 4 of the 11 members of the gang were still eluding authorities.
He admitted he was afraid that other members would take revenge on his family because he was helping authorities.
Batiencela has been charged with a case of robbery with homicide for his involvement in the Greenbelt 5 heist. Authorities were still considering if they would take Batiencela as a state witness. From a report by Maan Macapagal, ABS-CBN News
