A friend told me about his experience in LA where "first to stop, first to go" is practiced at an intersection. But because he and another motorist arrived at the intersection at the same time, he did this flashing bit, Pinoy style. So the other car moved forward and so did he. Muntik silang magbanggaan. The guy in the other car shouted invectives at my friend. Sabi ng utol niya, "Bakit ka kasi nag-flash? Ibig sabihin niyan dito, 'Sige mauna ka'".
