yung iba kasi gusto lagi sila nauuna ayaw na ayaw magbigay

also, 5 seconds is a bit long to ask the rest of the motorist to wait for you to finish your personal chores inside your car.

most traffic lights have barely a minute for the green so 5 seconds means at least 2 cars on the queue being denied their passage.

just be curious that stopping on a red sign is not the same as yielding on a bay or parking.
5 secs may be long pero karamihan kasi 1 or 2 secs, bubusina na agad. kaka-palit ko lang kaya ng gear... kainis naman... tsaka, di ako laging dumadaan don a intersection na yun. Hinihintay ko talaga maging green bago ako mag-move...

What really bothers me is when the one in front of the intersection is taking his/her sweet time to get going. You are directly behind him/her. But you are patiently waiting. Then there's this d-bag behind you honking his horn like crazy.

Anong iniisip nung mokong na yon? As if naman kaya mong i-convince yung nasa harap mo na bilisan niya magtimpla ng clutch.

Worse, you will be the one to bear the brunt of the loud honking.

Tapos magye-yellow na ang traffic light at bigla siyang sisibat, while crossing the intersection. Ikaw naman ay maiiwanan sa intersection. Kaasar talaga....

Uy! Madalas kong makita yan dito sa The Fort! Usually it happens sa intersection turning left from 3rd Ave to 32nd St.

+1 on this, as it often happens at the fort. I think in many of the cases, the driver is "lost" and doesn't know whether to go straight or turn, then when he sees the light turn yellow, just speeds off. This really ticks me off. I mean, stick to a single lane and turn on your hazards, damnit! Or better yet, stop somewhere and ask for directions or look at your maps-equipped phone (if you have one).

Yan talaga yun nakakapikon. ang bagal bagal tapos sabay beating the red light sila. Kaya pala bilisan and why do they have to block off everyone at the back? And it's so time consuming waiting for the whole cycle of traffic lights again

Yesterday nga there was this SUV that was crossing an intersection ta's sobrang bagal niya eh wala namang dumadaan na kotse. What I did was, uunahan ko dapat siya tapos nung nakita niya ako sa gilid nila ampota binilisan makacross.

As in CLEAR.

Another alarming trend I'm seeing at The Fort now are the drivers who park their cars by the sidewalk with the hazard light turned on. They then rush over to the ATM to withdraw cash. Happens a lot sa road where Marajo Tower is located and NetOne where BPI is located. Doon naman sa lobby ng Marajo at NetOne, ang daming nakaabang na taxi at private cars with tsupers/bf/spouse waiting for passengers/gf/spouse. Hindi pa napupuno yung The Fort, parang Makati-Ortigas na yung sikip.

Even at the High Street, particularly fronting Serendra; there are a lot of cars that park with their hazard on. Even with guards approaching and shooing them away, a good number are still hard-headed and persist, even engaging the guards in arguments.

To add to the list of bad motoring habits at The Fort... a lot of us here know that The Fort has become a favorite jogger's destination, especially in the early mornings and in the evenings. I myself jog there regularly. I notice that some motorists don't respect the joggers, even though the High Street area has been a designated jogger's area. Most motorists give way when a jogger crosses, but there are some arrogant ones who block the road, or even attempt to cut off the joggers who are crossing.

I know what you mean.

Oh well, we can't expect too much from most motorists, even on normal painted pedestrian lanes uunahan ka parin kahit malayo pa!

Another bad motoring etiquette brought to my attention is yung mga hindi marunong magstick sa lanes nila or worst, yung kakain ng dalawang lane para kung sino man mauna sa harapan nila, dun sila susunod. Something very common in Metro Manila.

What about those who drive real slow so you have to tap your horn to make them move faster.

Some of them go even slower when you tap your horn and ignore you. Then after a few more taps, they just stop dead in front of you and put on their hazard lights with no regards for the other vehicles behind you.

When you finally move your vehicle backwards and forwards to try and get out of the pinch and try to get ahead of the moron, the idiot will zoom forward and not let you merge and will engage you in some kind of race.

Sometimes it takes all my will power not to stoop to their level and engage them.

Then there at the slow moving taxi cabs with no other vehicles around them but for some reason, as you will pass them, they will go to your lane and you'll have to frantically brake in order not to hit them!

Nang kakarera sa daan. Poor etiquette and unsafe! Signs na kinakarera ka: tailgating, flashing their lights at you from behind, revving their engines beside you, passing you and cutting you. Some even point and give the finger. What's up with these people.

On the way home kanina, a crv was trying to race me. Of course ignore Lang.

    1. yong mga motorcycles and tricycles na sumisingit/overtake sa right side kahit alanganin, and few inches lang ang distance nila from your car.

    2. yong mga ayaw mag-give way sa daan, sumisingit o didiretso pa rin when they already saw you signaling and you came from the side of the road even if you're almost in the middle, pag pumilit kang dumiretso, sigurado sasalpok sa yo.

    3. when your car is parked in the side of the street, those who are parking their car, motorcycle, tricy in front of you or at your back and there is a vehicle in front of you/at your back; without giving you enough space. bad trip kung aalis ka na lalo na kung nagmamadali ka and na-sandwich ka between 2 vehicles. and worst, di mo pa alam kung asan ang driver.

    4. yong masyadong mabagal magpatakbo and ayaw mag-give way when you want to over-take them. yong iba naman, medyo mabilis din ang takbo pero ayaw mag-give way when you want to overtake them kahit na almost magkapantay na kayo in both lanes tapos may kasalubong ka coming from the opposite side of the road.

    5. yong mga nag-o-overtake ng alanganin from the opposite side of the road na kung hindi ka mag-slow down, e tiyak na sasalpok sa yo, or few inches na lang ang distance from you when they can make it back to the right lane.
